Orlando Magic at Chicago Bulls
Date/Time: Jan 3 2022 8:10 PM EST
Rating: 4%
1H Orlando Magic +8.5 (-110)
509 Orlando at Chicago
1st Half Play
The Magic are clearly one of the worst teams in the league. Entering play with a 7-30 record on the season. They played a tough game at Boston last night and gave the Celtics all they could handle in a 116-111 loss. The last time these two met the Bulls bombed the Magic 123-88, so this meeting should bring out some extra motivation from the visitor.
Chicago is cruising right now, having won 11 of its last 13 games. That includes seven straight victories. But this is also the Bulls sixth game in nine days, all in different locations. Coming off back to back road games decided at the wire against Washington and Indiana, we can see Chicago coming out unfocused in this one.
4-Unit Play. #503. Take Charlotte Hornets +2 over Washington Wizards (Monday @ 7:10pm est)
You are the Charlotte Hornets and you just lost 99-133 to Phoenix. Ouch. You had won 3 in a row prior to that including beating Denver on the road and winning outright and the Hornets have beat the Wizards already twice this year and though the Wizards have revenge, note the Hornets come off their worst loss of the year and Washington has still lost 3 of 4 and struggles against decent defensive teams - yes, we know that Charlotte was terrible defensively last game. Look for Charlotte to bounce-back here.
5-Unit Play. #862. Take Oregon State -14.5 over Sacramento State (Monday @ 6pm est)
I know Oregon State has just 3 wins here, but they are on an uptick in our minds. This team has a great chance of blowing out Sacramento State so we will ride them here. By the way, We lost with Arizona State due to the last minute covid update the team had on their star player. Let's look to bounce-back here as regardless of what the updates are, though we have checked up to this morning, Oregon State should do very well here. Remember, Oregon State is shooting lights out right now, they are shooting 55% from the field the last 2 games and though the public likes Oregon State, we do as well. Sacramento State dig give Southern Utah some trouble who is a decent team, but Oregon State just destroyed a good Nicholls State team by 22 and then turned around and shocked a lot of people by beating Utah by 12 points at home. I think Oregon State is turning the corner and wants to keep routing teams here as this team has essentially 10 upper classmen as even if the reserves come in, they will want to continue to pour it on. We ride Oregon State here today.
