I hit a nice underdog play on Nashville at the start of the week and here I feel is another great spot to pull the trigger on an undervalued pooch. The Jets 3-game win streak was snapped in a 7-1 defeat Colorado almost a week ago due to COVID. With four whole nights off after this before a game at Washington, I think Winnipeg is in a tough spot here from a scheduling stand-point. Detroit is back to .500 after 3 straight losses and losing 5 of 6. But it hasn't been from a lack of trying, as Detroit has fallen in extra time in its last 2 games. The seasonal numbers favor Winnipeg, but this desperate Wings team benefits from several other factors and I expec them to make the most of it. Consider Detroit on Thursday!

The state of the Kraken defense and goaltending is such that they haven't given up less than 3 goals in some time. The Kraken played last night and are poor on the road. Meanwhile out in St Louis, the Blues have been winning and scoring consistently, and held both Washington and Dallas to a single goal in their last two games. The Blues could have Tarasenko back today, a definite plus. Either way, take the Blues to win -1 1/2.

I like the Memphis Grizzlies to cover the spread against the Minnesota Timberwolves in this game on Thursday. The Grizzlies have won 10 games in a row now and they have been taking down some good teams on their run. This game is on their home court where they have almost double the amount of wins as losses this year. They have put up 115+ points in 4 games in a row and I think they are going to be too difficult for the Timberwolves to stop on the road here. The T-wolves just lost their most recent game breaking a 4 game win streak and I think they are going to start to slide a bit in their next few games. This game is concluding a 4 game road trip for the T-wolves but they have already played 6/7 games of their previous 7 on the road and this will now be their 7th road game in their previous 8. I think the fatigue is starting to creep up on them and I think they won't have the energy needed in this game to stop the Grizzlies who have been killing it lately. I like the Grizzlies to cover the spread here.

Thursday NBA Free play. My selection is on New Orleans minus the points over Los Angeles at 8:10 pm et on Thursday.
The Pelicans have quietly been playing winning basketball for well over a month now, checking in 9-8 SU over their last 17 games. They're also coming off three consecutive ATS wins and are 7-4 ATS over their last 11 contests. I like the way this matchup sets up as they host the Clippers, who are coming off back-to-back SU and ATS wins, despite missing some key contributors - most notably Paul George. Keep in mind, they haven't won three games in a row ATS since a four-game ATS winning streak back in early November. While some will point to the revenge angle in favor of the Clips here after they lost 123-104 at home against the Thunder back in November. Note, however, that they're just 2-10 ATS the last 12 times they've sought revenge for a loss against an opponent, outscored by 5.5 points on average. Take New Orleans.
