The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense is great at stopping the run, and I don't see Eagles' rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts having much success against an amped up Bucs defense. The Eagles defense has had played well down the stretch prior to giving up 51 points to Dallas in the regular-season finale. Under is 6-2 in Eagles' last 8 playoff games. Under is 5-1 in Buccaneers last 6 playoff games as a favorite.

Sunday NFL Free play. My selection is on Philadelphia plus the points over Tampa Bay at 1 pm et on Sunday.
I'll take a shot with the underdog Eagles here as we fade the banged-up defending Super Bowl champions on Sunday afternoon. Philadelphia certainly played its best football down the stretch during the regular season - up until it rested the majority of its starters in last Saturday's finale against the Cowboys. This is of course a rematch from these two teams' meeting back in mid-October - a game the Bucs won by six points in Philadelphia. Note that the Eagles check in 21-9 ATS the last 30 times they've sought revenge for a same-season loss against an opponent, outscoring the opposition by 0.6 points on average in that spot. Everything went right for the Bucs in that first matchup this season as they held a 27-16 edge in terms of first downs, held a 184-yard edge in terms of passing yardage and also dominated the time of possession by nearly 20 minutes. Yet they still 'only' won by six points. The Eagles certainly enter this game playing much better football now than they did in October. At the time they had lost three of their last four games and would go on to lose five out of six during that stretch. While I have the ultimate respect for Tom Brady and the Bucs, I simply feel they're missing too many key pieces and laying too many points in this spot. Take Philadelphia.

I don't see these two teams getting into the 50's. I get the Cowboys offense is potent and led the league in scoring at 31.2 ppg, but this is a really good 49ers defense that ranks in the Top 10 against both the run and the pass.
I don't think Dallas is going to be able to run the ball effectively and are going to end up facing a lot of 3rd and longs. Not saying the Cowboys won't put up some points, I just think they are going to have to earn it with some long sustained drives.
The other big thing is the Dallas defense is really built to defend the pass with all their guys that can get after the quarterback. The 49ers want to establish the run and you can bet if they are able to do that, they are going to try and play keep away from that Cowboys offense. I just don't see enough possessions here for this to turn into a shootout. Give me the UNDER 51!

I like the spot for the Houston Rockets tonight. This is a rematch with the Sacramento Kings after their 126-114 road loss to them on Friday. Now the Rockets will be out for revenge here two days later in Sacramento again Sunday.
The Rockets were 5-point underdogs in that first meeting and are now 5.5-point dogs in the rematch. So we are getting a better line, and it hasn't been adjusted for the revenge factor as it should be. Look for the Rockets to keep this one much closer than the first meeting and to likely win this game outright.
Plays on underdogs (Houston) - a cold team failing to cover the spread in 12 or more of their last 15 games against an opponent that has covered three of their last four ATS are 75-32 (70.1%) ATS since 1996. This is a great time to 'buy low' on Houston in this revenge spot. Bet the Rockets Sunday.

Bradley broke a three-game slide with a convincing 79-47 win over Evansville on Wednesday. The Braves are 7-3 ATS in their last ten overall. Illinois State on the other hand is off an 86-75 loss to Drake, their third loss in a row (Illinois State though is 4-0 ATS in its last four overall.) So who has the advantage here as far as the spread is concerned? I say it's Bradley, which just held the Purple Aces to 29.1% shooting (Rienk Mast led the way with 23 points and 13 rebounds.) Bradley averages 77.2 PPG, while allowing 66.7. Kendall Lewis had 20 points in Illinois State's most recent setback. The Redbirds average 80.1 PPG, but they concede 78.4. The margin of error is slim most nights for Illinois State and that's going to be the case here in my estimation. Bradley is going to dictate the tempo here and in my opinion, I think it's well worth a second look on Sunday night; consider Bradley!
