I was set to play on United when these teams were going to play last month. Then, that game got postponed. I still favor the Red Devils. While they won't have Aaron Wan-Bissaka back yet, the Red Devil will see the return of Ronaldo and others. They'll miss Wan-Bissaka more, should he not return, in their next game, against West Ham. Brentford isn't in the same class. The Bees got off to a great start. However, they're currently missing some key players and have been playing poorly for some time now. In what should be a victory for the superior team, the price could easily be higher. Consider Manchester United.

The Red Devils are in a battle for a Top 4 spot in the Premier League, and a Champions League spot next season. They currently sit five points behind fourth place West Ham, but they do have two games in hand. Brentford has lost three of it's last four Premier League matches by a combined score of 8-1. Home field might not be enough to make up for a mismatch in talent, given that Brentford has a losing record at home in the Premier League.

Flashy Meg has finished 2nd, 1st, 3rd in three races. The filly looked great in a $25,000 race, winning by 7 ½ lengths in a blowout for a $25,000 purse on November 23.

Following that win, Flashy Meg showed 3rd on December 17 in a $36,000 event after jumping in class. Back down to $26,000, expect Flashy Meg to have a decent chance at a win.

Madame Jane has finished 2nd, 1st, 4th, 2nd, 4th in five races. In her last race, Madame Jane finished 4th for a $36,000 purse on December 17.

That attempt was after placing 2nd behind O’Babe by ¾ lengths in a $36,000 event. At this level in a $26,000 race, expect Madame Jane to be tough to beat after a $10,000 drop in grade.

Delta Downs fifth race is a 5-furlong event for a $15,000 purse on Wednesday afternoon. Look at Angie At Theoffice and Bourn to get close with a good chance of winning.

Angie At Theoffice has finished 4th, 6th in two races, going 4th on October 28 in a $22,000 event. As a first-time runner, Angie At Theoffice didn’t look the best and then came back to go 6th for a $43,0000 assignment.

Bourn has finished 4th, 3rd, 9th in three assignments. The filly showed 3rd two races back in a $32,000 event. She returned on January 8 to finish 9th for $40,000 at Fair Grounds.

On a transfer to an easier race at Delta Downs, expect Bourn to have a good time on Wednesday afternoon. This is a race that Bourn should be able to handle and she’s getting a favorable post position.

Race 7 is a $35,000 event for our final selection at Delta Downs this afternoon. At the top of my watchlist is Put a Bow On It and Mommasgottarun.

Put a Bow On It could be good value for a win at the right price. She has finished 2nd, 6th in two career races. As a rookie, Put a Bow On It placed 2nd behind Half Is Enough by 7 ½ lengths in a tough $57,500 event.

That was fairly impressive to hang in there and finish 2nd best. In her next race, she wasn’t as fortunate, though. Put a Bow On It dropped to 6th in a $63,000 event on October 2.

All the way down to $35,000, she has to be worth a look at a win. Mommasgottarun has finished 2nd, 5th, 3rd, 5th in four outings.

She’s transferring here after running at Saratoga, Churchill Downs, and Oaklawn. In her latest outing, Mommasgottarun finished 5th for an $84,000 prize on December 18.

Prior to that start, Mommasgottarun showed 3rd at Churchill Downs on September 26, she showed 3rd in a $120,000 event. This race on Wednesday should be too easy for her.

Considering what Mommasgottarun has competed against so far in her career, look for the No. 2 to be a top contender on this level Wednesday.

The first event at Gulfstream Park covers a mile and 70 yards for a $42,000 purse. Look at California Frolic and Peter D to have a strong to at the top prize.

California Frolic has finished 5th, 2nd, 1st, 1st in his previous four attempts. After placing 2nd on September 25 in a $38,000 event, California Frolic won on November 12 and December 24.

The first win was over Never Say Know by 2 ¼ lengths for a $38,000 purse. California Frolic was able to follow up with a 1 ¼ length win over Churchtown by 1 ¼ lengths in a $61,000 assignment.

This looks like a race for Never Say Know to run a competitive race in. Peter D likely has the best chance to hold him off.

Peter D is 4 for 5 in his career and coming off a hat-trick. Will it be four in a row? In similar form as recently it can be.

He’s finished 1st, 5th, 1st, 1st, 1st in his career, including a stakes win in the $60,000 Journeyman Stud Juvenile Stakes by 1 ½ lengths on October 23. In his latest attempt, Peter D came through with a 1 length win for a $37,000 prize.

I’d consider the No. 2 to win on the dirt at Gulfstream today.

Race 7 is a mile and 70 yards for a $34,000 purse. Consideration for Isadorable Aida and Flying Back has to be made on these terms.

Isadorable Aida is 7 for 33 and has to be worth a look from the No. 8 hole. She has finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 4th in her previous five attempts.

Five races back, Isadorable Aida won a $28,000 event in good form. In her latest race, she finished 4th for a $61,000 purse. This was after finishing 5th on December 4 for a $95,000 purse.

Down in class further to the $34,000 level, expect Isadorable Aida to have a big chance. Flying Black will go in for an upset bid and I think there’s a door open.

She is 3 for 9 in her career, finishing in the top-2 in the last five attempts. The filly is coming off back-to-back wins on November 20 and December 22.

Flying Black defeated Emirates Affair by 2 ¾ lengths for a $28,000 purse, and then a month later a half-length win in a $37,000 event at a mile and 70 yards.

The value looks too good on Flying Black to ignore. I will take my chances on this consistent filly in Race 7.

Race 8 is our final pick at Gulfstream Park on Wednesday afternoon. Mogalu and Lucci should be worth a look on these terms Wednesday afternoon.

Mogalu has raced in two assignments, finishing 2nd, 1st at Gulfstream Park. In his debut, Mogalu placed 2nd behind Always Gambling by ¾ lengths for a $55,000 purse.

That was a fine first-time run from Mogalu. Building on that performance, Mogalu beat Jinxed by a neck in a $60,000 assignment on December 18.

Lucci has finished 1st, 5th in his career. The colt had a 3 length win over Speak Unity for a $90,000 purse in May at Belmont Park.

That was impressive and sent Lucci to Ascot overseas in June. Back home on home soil in the US, expect Lucci to like this race down in class. He’s fresh and sharp in morning workouts.

Expect Lucci to have a big chance from the outside to clear this field in the stretch.

1st race – (2) Peter D (C) dropped from 4-5 to 1-2 and won a third straight race. Can extend that winning streak here. (4) Sun Viking had a wide trip last time and should fare better here. (5) California Frolic seeks a third straight win and cannot be overlooked. (8) Doctor Nash might like a synthetic surface. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5-8. Doubles: 2-4-5-8 with 2-4-6-7.

2nd race – (7) Warn drops into a claimer and may prove best in this spot. (6) Crown of Honor should be effective at this level. (4) El Pecado has been no worse than third in his last four starts and belongs in the exotics. (2) Ascending Moon has speed and could be tough to catch here. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. 5th race – (10) Lady Puchi turned in a good effort in a stakes and deserves top billing in a stakes. (4) Pharoah’s Song is a firster from Chad who merits attention here. (8) Ultima Copa is another firster with nice credentials. (9) Lemon Red adds to the list of interesting first-time starters in this group. Betting strategy: 10 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-8-9-10.

7th race – (2) Flying Black has won her last two starts and can make it three in a row here. (6) Midnight Bella could be a factor in the final furlong. (4) Current Situation won nicely last time and should be a main contender. (3) Lookinlikeaqueen could be a factor off a claim. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-4-6. Doubles: 2-3-4-6 with 3-4-5-7.

8th race – (7) Lucci turned in a good effort at Royal Ascot then headed to the sidelines. Is working nicely for his return. (4) Barone Cesco disappointed last time but can wake up here. OSTINI - This animal should make a move coming out of the turn. Great late pace I expect a lot from this magnificent animal. His speed figures under similar conditions are tops in this bunch. This horse likes the grass a whole heck of a lot better. Look at the start 2 races back on Aug 22nd and take a note on the surface change. We may be sitting on a real live one! This horse is at the top in earnings per start. He looks nice in today's affair. I'M LEAVING YOU - Belvoir has this gelding signed up for the right event. DILLON ROCKS - This horse is in good condition. Finished second on December 27th. OPTIMISTIC VALOR - Winless in his last three starts, this gelding did win on July 23rd at Del Mar versus tougher competition.
