Chelsea is a very good defensive side, allowing the third fewest xGA at 0.98 per game, along with the third fewest shots and shots on goal in the league. But they are just not creating chances like they were earlier this season. While dealing with several players in COVID protocol certainly hurt them, now as they have gotten healthy, they are still struggling to get anything going as evidenced by Tuesday’s draw with Brighton in which they generated just 0.57 xG. In their last six games, Chelsea have averaged just 1.16 xG compared to averaging 2.05 in their first 17.

The Spurs haven’t lost a single EPL game since Antonio Conte took over on the sidelines. They have played nine matches during his tenure with six wins and three draws and have kept five clean sheets allowing a total of just six goals.

This is the 3rd meeting in three weeks for these teams as Chelsea won both legs of their Carabao Cup semifinal by scores of 2-0 and 1-0. Tottenham is without Heung-Min Son due to injury and replacing his 0.61 xG + xA per game average is not going to be easy to do and a big reason why they failed to threaten any chance of a comeback in Leg 2.

With both of those matches finishing Under the total, these teams have now had seven of their last nine matches finish under 2.5 goals and I like it to happen once more on Sunday.

Wolfsburg have been awful, winless in their last eight games and they have scored just one goal over their last six while allowing 13. Leipzig have had a disappointing season by their standards but have come out after the winter break winning each of their first two games by a combined 6-1 scoreline. At home, they are generating 2.62 xG while allowing 1.35 xGA and I like their chances to win this game and hopefully by multiple goals.

Bayern could very likely hit this Over themselves as they did this past weekend winning 4-0 on the road at Koln. It was a good rebound game for them after their 1-2 home loss to Gladbach the week prior which was their only game of their last four that they failed to score at least four goals themselves.

Hertha Berlin played out a 0-0 draw this past weekend at Wolfsburg, which snapped a 3-game streak of Over 3.5 goals which included an impressive 3-2 win over Dortmund. Although it’s unlikely they are able to pull out another surprise win here against Bayern who have beaten them in four straight games, scoring at least four goals in three of those.

Bayern have the best xG numbers in all of Europe, generating 3.12 xG per game which doesn’t bode well for Hertha Berlin who have given up the 2nd most goals in the Bundesliga this season, 38 through 19 games.
