Philly had a bit of a clunker the other night in a 106-103 home loss to Washington as a decent-sized favorite. They've bounced back well of late, covering five in a row off a SU loss and eight in a row off a spread defeat. These teams are pretty equal in defensive efficiency but the Sixers are the much better offensive team and with Porzingis and Hardaway sidelined, Philly is also the better team on the defensive end. The Sixers had a rough time on the boards in the loss to Washington and they've seen that happen at times this season but it shouldn't be exploited by a Dallas team that is virtually equal to Philly on the glass - and again, short-handed inside. Dallas has covered just four of their last 13 at home against teams with a winning road record. I'm backing the Sixers on Friday. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.

The number has value in my opinion when you realize Detroit is 2-11 ATS in road games after three straight games where they made 47% of their shots or better and there is a related system against the Titans that has them at 8-32 ATS.
3 Unit Play. Take #878 Siena -4.5 over Rider (7:00 p.m., Friday, February 4)
After a sloppy 2-6 SU and ATS start to the season, Siena coach Carmen Maciariello has tinkered with the starting lineups to find the best mix. This strategy has paid off as the Saints are 7-2 SU and ATS since, with both losses coming as road underdogs. A particular benefit has come at home for Siena, who is on a 4-0 SU & ATS run. Rider is only 3-9 SU on the road and losing by 8.1 PPG and is 12-24 ATS as an underdog the last three seasons and 0-7 ATS in road games after covering two of their last three against the spread.

Harvard has averaged 74.9 points per game this season and they have also shot 35.9% as a team from beyond the arc on the road this season. Brown has shot just 30.8% as a team from beyond the arc at home this season and they have allowed 69.6 points per game over there last five games. Play Harvard ATS

Nice revenge spot for Harvard on Friday night. They lost 84-73 to the Brown Bears last month thanks in part to an anomaly. Brown ranks 221st in the nation in 3-point accuracy, making 32% of their treys. That particular night the Bears nailed 15 of 26, 58% of their 3-pointers, the equivalent of making 22.5 of 26 2-pointers. Harvard might not be great on the defensive end but they're a heckuva lot better than that. The Crimson are also strong at both ends of the floor in turnover percentage. And while Harvard has won five of their last eight games, the Bears are 2-8 SU and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games. I'm taking the points with Harvard on Friday. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.
