    NBA | Magic vs Bulls
    Play on: UNDER 222½ -110

    Jack's Free Pick Tuesday: Magic/Bulls UNDER 222.5
This will be the 3rd meeting between the Orlando Magic and Chicago Bulls in less than a month. Familiarity favors defense and low-scoring games, and I look for this one to stay well UNDER the number tonight.
The first two meetings were both UNDERS as well. Chicago won 102-98 at home for just 200 combined points with a 218.5-point total. Orlando won 114-95 at home for 209 combined points with a 215.5-point total.
Now the books have set this number even higher for the 3rd meeting at 222.5. It's definitely not justified. The UNDER is 4-1 in the last five meetings as the Bulls and Magic have combined for 221 or fewer points in all five games.
The UNDER is 37-16 in the last 53 meetings. The UNDER is 8-1 in the last nine meetings in Chicago. The UNDER is 6-0 in Magic last six vs. a team with a winning record. The UNDER is 22-7 in Bulls last 29 vs. a team with a losing record. Bet the UNDER in this game Tuesday.

        NBA | Warriors vs Spurs
Play on: Spurs +2½ -110 at Caesars

1 Unit FREE PLAY on San Antonio Spurs +2.5
The San Antonio Spurs decided to rest Dejounte Murray, Derrick White and Jakob Poeltl against the Suns on Sunday and still nearly pulled the upset in a 110-115 road loss as 13.5-point underdogs. Now they get three of their top four scorers back tonight and catch the Golden State Warriors in a great situation. The Warriors will be playing the second of a back-to-back and their 12th game in 20 days. Now the Warriors are resting Klay Thompson, will be without Draymond Green and could be without both Otto Porter Jr. and Andre Iguodala. Golden State is 13-27-1 ATS in its last 41 games playing the second of a back-to-back. The Warriors are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games off an ATS win. Give me the Spurs.

          NCAA-B | Providence vs St. John's
Play on: St. John's -2½ -105 at pinnacle

My free play is on St John's at 9:00 ET.
Providence (18-2, 8-1 Big East) has been in the Top 25 since entering the poll at No. 22 back on Dec 20, following a 57-53 win at UConn. Its ability to win close games is fueling Providence's rise in the polls. The Friars climbed two spots in the latest poll and the now-No. 15 Friars will seek a SIXTH straight win Tuesday night when they visit St John's in New York. 11-8 St John's (3-5 in the Big East) is unbeaten in its on-campus arena in Queens (Carnesecca Arena) but also owns FIVE losses in seven games since its last appearance there back on Jan 5 when it beat DePaul 89-84.
Ed Cooley arrived in Providence for the 2011-12 season and led the Friars to FIVE straight NCAA tournaments from 2014-2018. Providence is coming off a mediocre 13-13 season last year but that's all changed this season.. The Friars have three double digit scorers in Guard Durhman (13.7), 6-10 center Watson (13.5 & ) and guard Reeves (10.4). Depth is provided by the 6-8 Horchler (9.8 & 8.5) and the 6-7 Minaya (6.6 & 5.9) up front and in the backcourt by Bynum (9.1 & 4.3 APG) and Croswell (5.8 & 4.3).
Mike Anderson (no connection at all to St John's or the Big East) was a surprise choice as the Red Storm's head coach after Chris Mullen left and the 'jury is still out' in his third season. The 6-8 Champagnie is listed as a guard and leads St John's in scoring (18.9) and rebounding (6.8). The 6-11 Soriano (5.9 & 5.6) and the 6-9 Wheeler (7.7 & 4.0) are the Red Storm's lone big men of note. Guards Alexander (14.6-4.6-4.8), Addae-Wusu (9.5 & 4.2), Mathis (9.3 & 4.1) and Smith (6.8) give St John's a deep perimeter group.
The Friars won 83-73 back on Jan 8 in Providence but I'm calling for St John's to serve up a little 'payback' here in the 'friendly confines' of Carnesecca Arena (capacity of 5,602). Champagnie was held to 11 points on 5-of-19 shooting in the first meeting with Providence and this past Saturday, he was held to nine points and shot 4-of-12, marking his third straight game under double figures. That HAS to change tonight or St John's is 'toast.' Maybe I'm 'spitting into the wind,' because as noted above, the Friars have excelled in winning the 'close ones.' I may be stubborn but I feel the Red Storm are in a perfect spot to win and have everyone call it an "upset," even though St John's is the slight favorite.
          Good luck...Larry

            NCAA-B | Providence vs St. John's
Play on: St. John's -3 -110 at William Hill

#640 ASA FREE PLAY ON St Johns -3 over Providence, Tuesday at 9 PM ET - Providence is 18-2 overall (won 13 of their last 14) and 8-1 in the Big East while St John’s is 11-8 overall (lost 5 of their last 7) and only 3-5 in conference play yet the Johnnies are the favorites here. Hmmm. Someone wants you to take Providence here but we like St John’s in this spot. The Friars are coming off a bunch of close wins (4 in a row by 8 points or less) and their most recent was a 2-point home win over Marquette. They trailed for most of the game and squeaked by with a 65-63 win. Providence beat St Johns by 10 earlier this month and we see this as a letdown spot. In that earlier win, the Friars mad 26 FT’s to just 8 for St Johns yet the margin was only 10. The Johnnies, as most teams, play much better at home where they are 10-2 with their losses coming by 6 vs Seton Hall and by 2 vs Pitt, a game SJU played without their leading scorer Champagnie (19 PPG & 7 RPG). They love to play up tempo and will attempt to get Providence out of their comfort zone in this one. SJU averages 82 PPG at home on 47% shooting while the Friars put up only 62 PPG on the road while shooting a terrible 39%. This is just the 2nd road game for Providence since January 4th while St John’s has played 5 of their last 7 on the road so they are just happy to be home. We smell an “upset” although it really wouldn’t be an upset as the unranked home team is favored over the #15 road team. SJU wins and covers.

Play on: Nets +6 -105 at Ace

                  1* NBA - Nets/Suns FREE PICK on Nets +6
Tuesday's Free NBA Pick is on the Brooklyn Nets as a 6-point road dog against the Phoenix Suns. Brooklyn is simply a better team on the road than they are at home right now, as they at least have Kyrie Irving on the road. There's also a decent chance that James Harden will suit up after sitting out the last game, as he was back at practice.
Phoenix is also playing shorthanded right now. DeAndre Ayton, Jae Crowder, Cam Payne, Abdel Nader, Landry Shamet, Frank Kaminsky and Dario Saric are all out. It's just a few too many for the Suns to be laying in this one. Bet the Nets +6!

Play on: Suns -5½ -110 at Mirage

                    Dave's Tuesday Free Play:
                    1* on Phoenix Suns -5.5
The Key: The Brooklyn Nets have been struggling without Kevin Durant. They are 0-4 SU & 1-3 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Nets will be without Durant, LaMarcus Aldridge and possibly James Harden tonight. Now they have to travel and take on the red hot Phoenix Suns, who are 40-9 this season with the best record in the NBA. The Suns will be hungry to extend their current 10-game winning streak to 11 tonight. It's a National TV game and it's the Nets, so they won't be taking them lightly. The Nets are 4-17 ATS in their last 21 games off an ATS win. Take Phoenix.
