NCAA-B | Arizona vs Arizona State
Play on: Arizona State +12 -110 at Ace

    Dave's Monday Free Play:
    1* on Arizona State +12
The Key: The Arizona State Sun Devils are 2-0-1 ATS in their last 3 games overall. They upset UCLA 87-84 as 10-point home underdogs. They only lost by 5 at home to USC as 5-point dogs. And they went on the road at Arizona and only lost by 11 as 21.5-point dogs. Now they get their shot to avenge that defeat against the rival Wildcats at home. The Sun Devils should be able to stay within 12 points in the rematch tonight. Arizona is 1-3 ATS in its last 4 games overall and getting a lot of love from oddsmakers right now. They have played 4 straight huge games against UCLA twice, ASU and USC. They didn't win any of those games by more than 11 points. The Sun Devils are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games off a win. The home team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 matchups. Take Arizona State.

      NBA | Knicks vs Jazz
Play on: Jazz -7½ -111 at pinnacle

My free play is on the Ut Jazz at 9:10 ET.
The Knicks ended a seven-year postseason drought last year by going 41-31 but lost in the first round to the Atlanta Hawks, who made it all the way to the East Conference Finals. Expectations were high in Madison Square Garden to open the season but so far, the Knicks have been a disappointment. New York comes into this matchup on the heels of a heartbreaking 122-115 overtime loss to the Lakers in L.A. on Saturday. The Knicks held a 21-point lead and squandered a career-high 36-point scoring night from RJ Barrett and Julius Randle's double-double of 32 points and 16 rebounds. The Knicks have now lost eight of 10 games to fall to 24-29 and 1 1/2-games behind the No. 10 seed (last of the 'play-in' spots).
The Jazz won an NBA-best 52 games last season and 'hung' right with Phoenix and Golden St early on, opening the season 28-10. However, Utah would lose 11 of 13 games from Jan 7-30, before winning its last two. At 32-21, the Jazz have fallen 10 1/2-games behind the Suns, eight back of the Warriors and also four back of the Grizzlies. The Jazz are currently the No. 4 seed but may also need to 'look over their shoulders,' as the Dallas Mavericks have won 15 of 20 to reach 31-23, just 1 1/2-games behind Utah. Donovan Mitchell returned from concussion protocol with a bang on Friday, leading the Jazz past the Brooklyn Nets 125-102 with 27 points on 8-of-10 shooting and six assists.
PF Randle (18.7-10.0-5.1) and SF Barrett (17.9 & 5.7) have led New York all season. The undersized Robinson (8.4 & 8.5) starts at center and PF Toppin (7.6 & 3.7) contributes up front, usually off the bench. New York has a deep backcourt, although Rose (12.0-3.0-4.0) has been out since mid-December. Fournier (14.1), Walker (11.9-3.2-3.3), Burks (11.1 & 4.3) and Quickley (9.8) all get their minutes.
The Jazz, who went 4-12 in January, were quickly reminded how vital Mitchell is to their success in his return Friday after an eight-game absence. He played a part in the team's first 12 points, putting the Jazz up by double digits for a lead they didn't relinquish. Guards Mitchell (25.5-3.9-5.2) and Conley (14.3 & 5.2 APG) are the starting backcourt, Gobert (16.0 & 15.1) the starting center plus Bogdanovich (17.9 & 4.7) and O'Neale (7.5 & 5.0) start up front with Gobert. Clarkson (15.5) remains one of the NBA's top 6th-men plus SF Gay (9.9 & 4.6) and backup center Whiteside (8.6 & 7.2 in just 18 minutes), give the Jazz one of the league's deepest teams.
However, here's the rub. Ingles (7.2) is a valuable player and he's been lost for the season plus Gobert is expected to be out until mid-Feb. Also, Clarkson and Gay are both listed as questionable. That said, I'm still laying the points with the Jazz, now that Mitchell is back. Whiteside is NO Gobert but he should do well against New York's frontcourt.
      Good luck...Larry

NCAA-B | Northern Arizona vs Northern Colorado
Play on: Northern Colorado -10 -109 at pinnacle

Monday CBB Free play. My selection is on Northern Colorado minus the points over Northern Arizona at 9:30 pm et on Monday.
Northern Colorado has now dropped the cash in four straight games but it did put an end to its three-game SU losing streak with a win over this same Northern Arizona squad on Saturday. The Bears won that game by only three points - no big surprise considering they knocked down only eight three-pointers and got to the free throw line only five times in that contest. I expect the Bears to improve considerably on both of those numbers on Monday as they finally get an ATS cover on their home floor (0-5 ATS in lined home games to date). Northern Arizona is just 3-7 SU on the road this season where it has been outscored by an average margin of 13 points. Take Northern Colorado.
