I'll take my chances with the Nets as a 3-point road dog against the Wizards on Thursday. I've made some money fading Brooklyn during their current 9-game losing streak that has seen them go just 1-8 ATS, but this is a spot where I think the value is with the Nets.
It feels like there's a good chance that a Harden/Simmons trade will take place before the deadline today, but that doesn't figure to hamper the Nets much for this game. Harden has missed the last few games and hasn't been a huge factor when he's been on the floor.
I actually think it's the Wizards who could be the ones that are shuffling for this game. Washington figures to be a team looking to sell at the deadline. Either way this is not a good Wizards team with Bradley Beal out of the lineup. Washington is just 1-8 in their last 9 and are just 2-14 ATS over their last 16 games. I just don't think they should be laying points here. Give me the Nets +3!

Bobby Hurley (a member of the "Coaching Hurleys") came to Arizona St for the 2015-16 season. His six-year record (entering this season) was 104-83. After leading the Sun Devils to three straight 20-win seasons, last year's team flopped to 11-14 (7-10 Pac 12). Washington head coach Mike Hopkins (longtime Jim Boeheim assistant) came to Washington for the 2017-18 season but after winning 21 and 29 games his first two seasons, fell to 15-17 the next season and all the way to 5-21 (4-16 Pac 12) last season. ASU visits Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle at 7-14 (3-8 Pac 12) to take on a Washington team that is 12-9 (7-4 Pac 12).
Arizona State took an early season hit when returning guard Bagley (10.8 PPG) was lost to a knee injury after just THREE games (was averaging 10.4). Horne (13.1), Heath (10.2) and Jackson (9.2) have taken up the slack in the backcourt. 6-6 SF Lawrence (10.7 & 7.1 and the 6-9 Graham (8.6 & 4.4) are the lone frontcourt players of note. Arizona is averaging a woeful 64.2 PPG (321st) on 38.9% shooting (351st).
Washington guard Terrell Brown (22.0-4.1-4.2) leads the conference in scoring and has scored in double figures in every outing this season. The 6-7 Matthews (11.1 & 5.0) joins him in double digits, while a trio of guards round out the team's main contributors. That group includes Bey (8.9 & 3.8), Davis (7.8) and Fuller (7.8).
Washington is 5-1 SU and ATS its last six home games and I see no reason why the Huskies won't win AND cover, with this 'cheap' line against offensively challenged Sun Devils.
