I will gladly take my chances with the 76ers as a 2.5-point home dog against the Celtics. I don't care that Boston has won 8 in a row. They should not be a favorite on the road against a team like Philadelphia. Not with how well Joel Embiid is playing at the moment. Embiid just put up 40 points with 14 rebounds and 10 assists in a 103-93 win at home against a really good Cavs team on Saturday. He's averaging 33.0 ppg over his last 10 and there's simply not a defense that can stop him when he's playing at this level.
Philly is 20-9 ATS last 2 seasons when playing at home after winning 2 of their last 3. Celtics are just 9-20 ATS the last 2 seasons vs division opponents, 5-16 ATS last 21 off a home win by 10 or more and 4-13 ATS after giving up 105 or fewer points in 2 straight games. Give me the 76ers +2.5!
