The Drake Bulldogs just swept the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers with a huge 83-76 road win at Loyola-Chicago on Saturday. This is a prime letdown spot for the Bulldogs now as they return home to face a team they have already beaten handily in Indiana State. They topped the Sycamores 85-67 on the road on February 2nd. But that was a banged-up Sycamores team, and they are much healthier now and playing better since then. They beat Evansville and Illinois State before only losing by 9 at Missouri State and by 4 at home to Southern Illinois in their last four games coming in. The Bulldogs are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 home games. Drake is 5-15-1 ATS in its last 21 games as a favorite. The road team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. Give me Indiana State.

The UCLA Bruins could be without two starters tonight in Johnny Juzang and Cody Riley. They played well without them against Washington on Saturday and easily covered in a 26-point victory. But this line is a little too high now against an Arizona State team that is playing its best basketball of the season.
The Sun Devils are 3-0 SU & 3-0 ATS in their last three games overall with an upset road win at Washington State as a 10.5-point underdog, an upset home win over Oregon by 24 as 5-point dogs and a 20-point blowout home win over Oregon State as an 8-point favorite as they avoided the letdown. Arizona State also upset UCLA at home earlier this month.
The Sun Devils have been a thorn in UCLA's side in recent years. Arizona State is 5-4 SU & 7-1-1 ATS in the last nine meetings. They haven't lost any of their last eight meetings with the Bruins by more than 6 points, so getting 13.5 points with them tonight is a nice value based on head-to-head history.
Arizona State is 7-1 ATS in its last eight games following a win. UCLA is 1-4-1 ATS in its last six games vs. a team with a losing record. The Sun Devils are 41-23 ATS in their last 64 games following a blowout home win by 20 points or more. Bet Arizona State Monday.

My “Cutting Room Floor” plays are the situations I considered the closest to being worthy of investment but did not make the “final cut” for my official plays today for subscribers. The last play I cut for Monday was with Oklahoma State plus the points versus the Baylor Bears. Oklahoma State (13-13) has won two of their last three games after their 82-79 win against Kansas State as a 4.5-point favorite on Saturday. The Cowboys have covered the point spread in 5 of their last 8 games after a straight-up win where they did not cover the point spread. And while they have allowed at least 76 points in their last two games, they have then covered the point spread in 8 of their last 12 games after allowing at least 75 points in two straight games. Baylor (22-5) has won three of their last four games after their 72-62 win against TCU as an 11-point favorite on Saturday. But the Bears have failed to cover the point spread in 5 straight games after winning three of their last four games. And while this is Baylor’s third game since Wednesday, they have failed to cover the point spread in 8 of their last 12 games when playing their third game in a week. This is a free play on Arizona State.
The Sun Devils come into UCLA as winners of three straight games, and they beat the Bruins outright 87-84 at the beginning of February. This may be a revenge game for the home team, but asking UCLA to cover a 15 point spread seems a bit outrageous. These two teams have faced each other four times over the last two years, and two of those four games went to overtime. The other two were decided by a combined four points. Arizona State ranks 11th in the PAC12 in scoring averaging just 65 points per game, but over their last five games they have scored and average of 71 points per game.

Monday NHL Free play. My selection is on Vancouver over Seattle at 10:05 pm et on Monday.
The Canucks couldn't record a third straight win on Saturday night as they fell by a 7-4 score against the Ducks on home ice. That actually sets Vancouver up well on Monday as it stays home to host the expansion Kraken. Note that the Canucks are 8-2 when coming off a home loss by 3+ goals over the last two seasons, outscoring opponents by 1.5 goals on average in that situation. The Kraken have struggled at the best of times away from home this season but when staying on the road off consecutive road contests, they've gone a woeful 3-11, outscored by an average margin of 1.1 goals in that spot. The Canucks have already skated to 4-2 and 5-2 wins over Seattle this season and I expect them to pick up another two points on Monday before the schedule gets much tougher with a home game against Calgary followed by a four-game eastern road swing. Take Vancouver.
