Might have some NBA tonight - if so by 6:45
CBB (3* Best Bets 5-1on Saturday)
3* Delaware -120 [ML]
3* Michigan State -6
3* Iowa/Illinois Over 154
3* Georgia State -155 [ML]
2* Drake +5.5
1* Boston U. +3.5
2 Unit Play. Take #812 Temple -8.5 over So. Florida (2:00 p.m. ET, Sunday, March 6)
South Florida is 2-11 SU away from home and is being outscored by 11.9 PPG. Temple is 6-1 SU and ATS in their last seven home games and sends its seniors out in style.
2 Unit Play. Take #832 UT-Chattanooga -1.5 over Wofford (4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 6)
Chattanooga won both games this season by 8 and 11. The difference was their bigger backcourt was able to shoot over Wofford's defense and that should not change this time around. Not saying Wofford doesn't make this close, but the Mocs are the better team and has played better for some time.
2 Unit Play. Take #826 UNC-Wilmington -3.5 over Elon (6:00 p.m. ET, Sunday, March 6)
Since starting 3-5 SU, Wilmington is 18-3 and 16-4 ATS. Are the Seahawks overly impressive, no, they just go and continually win and cover spreads. Wilmington is rested having played eight days ago in upsetting Delaware and they are 9-0 off an upset win as an underdog this season.
3 Unit Play. Take #838 App. State +3.5 over Geo. State (8:30 p.m. ET, Sunday, March 6)
Georgia State relies on their defense not being a good shooting club. App State plays similar defense and is a touch better offensively based on shooting percentage and is 8-2 ATS when playing with one or less days rest this season. App. State outright.
A modest winning day thanks to an OT loss, but still 10-6 in the last five days and trending upward.
Good Luck, Let's Roll,
Doug
6-Unit Play. Take #828 Hofstra (-3.5) over Charleston (8:30 p.m., Sunday, March 6)
Best this game now because this line is starting to move. I see it going up before tip off. Hofstra just beat Charleston at home on Monday. I think they will do it again here on a neutral court. The Pride has been one of the best teams in the CAA all season long and the finished the regular season 21-10 overall and 13-5 in league play. Charleston was below .500 in league play and is the No. 6 seed in this tournament. The Cougars are a top scoring team but they are one of the worst defensive teams in the country. That will hurt them here against a Hofstra team that averages nearly 80 points per game. The favorite is 8-3 ATS in this series and Charleston is just 6-14 ATS in its last 20 games as a neutral site underdog. Hofstra is 40-19 ATS against teams that are over .500 and 7-1 ATS in its last eight neutral site games. Lay the points.
3-Unit Play. Take #819 Minnesota (+7.5) over Northwestern (7:30 p.m., Sunday, March 6)
These two teams are both 13-15 on the season. I don't think that Northwestern should be this large of a favorite with the two teams so close in talent. Northwestern is just 1-5 SU and 2-4 ATS in its last six games. Minnesota has the same mark over its last six games. The Golden Gophers won the first meeting between these two teams by 17 points and are good enough to get a road win here. Minnesota is 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in this series and the road team is 6-2 ATS in the last eight between these two. Take the points.
