This is a really high number as far as the total is concerned, but not nearly high enough in my estimation. Florida is rolling. It's followed up a 3-game losing streak by winning 3 in a row. In that stretch the Panther have posted 15 goals. Florida is the No. 1 offense in the league by averaging 4.13 GPG. Pittsburgh averages 3.21. It just had its 3 game win streak snapped a 3-2 OT loss to Carolina, but it'll have to pick up the pace here vs. this league-leading offense that plays with revenge after a 3-2 loss at the start of the season; consider the OVER in this one!

They are rested right now playing just their 2nd game in 6 days. They will give a big effort against the Nets, who are 3-17 SU in their last 20 games overall. Getting Kevin Durant back has not helped as much as expected as there are still problems with this roster. LaMarcus Aldridge is out tonight and Cam Thomas may be out as well. The Nets are 6-20 ATS in their last 26 games as favorites. The Hornets are 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 games when playing on two days' rest. Give me the Hornets.

Even without injured Chris Paul and Devin Booker, there's a class difference larger than this mid-range point spread with the Suns against the Magic.
Orlando is home. So what. The Magic have the worst home mark in the NBA at 7-22. Their home ATS record isn't much better at 9-20 (31 percent).
The Suns aren't going to lack motivation against this bottom feeder coming off a tough road loss to the Bucks this past Sunday in a game that was much closer than the final score. Phoenix is 23-6 on the road, covering eight of their past 11 away matchups.
The teams met on Feb. 12. Phoenix won in a blowout, 132-105. Paul and Booker played in that game, but did not have good shooting games going a combined 14-for-35 from the floor.

Tuesday's Free NBA Pick is on the Memphis Grizzlies as a 5-point home favorite against the New Orleans Pelicans. I really like the value we are getting with Memphis in this one. Grizzlies are going to be extremely motivated here after an ugly 112-123 loss at Houston as a 10.5-point favorite. Memphis is 20-12 ATS at home this season, 10-1 ATS last 11 off a road loss and 7-0 ATS this season off a road loss by 10 or more. Pelicans have been playing well, going 4-1 SU & ATS in their last 5, but I just don't see them being able to hang here. Bet the Grizzlies -5!

Tuesday NHL Free play. My selection is on Tampa Bay over Winnipeg at 8:05 pm et on Tuesday.
With seven wins in their last eight games, the Lightning are rolling once again and I expect them to keep it going as they head north to face the Jets in Winnipeg on Tuesday. Note that Tampa Bay has averaged a whopping 5.0 goals per game when playing on the road after winning two of its last three games this season, outscoring opponents by 2.5 goals on average in that spot (10-game sample size). The Jets, meanwhile, have not been a great bounce-back team having gone 10-21 when coming off a home loss by 2+ goals over the last three seasons, outscored by an average of 0.5 goals in that situation. While Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy hasn't exactly been in peak form, he has battled his way to a respectable .906 save percentage over his last four starts with the Lightning going 3-1 over that stretch. That's more than can be said for Jets netminder Connor Hellebuyck, who has posted a .865 save percentage over his last four games with Winnipeg losing three of those contests. Take Tampa Bay.

Gonzaga held on to its No. 1 ranking in Monday's AP poll for the fourth straight week and eighth time this season going back to the preseason poll. A team ranked No. 1 in the nation typically isn't looking for revenge but that IS the case tonight when the 25-3 Bulldogs meet No. 17 Saint Mary's (25-6) in the West Coast Conference tournament title game at Las Vegas. The teams split two regular-season meetings, including the Gaels' 67-57 takedown of the Bulldogs back on Feb 26. Gonzaga had won the first meeting 74-58 at home on Feb 12. These two schools playing for the WCC tourney title is not exactly new, as St Mry's and Gonzaga are meeting for the FIFTH time in the last seven seasons. The "Zags" have won three of those previous four title-game matchups.
Randy Bennett took over at St Mary's in 2001-02 and had his first 20-win season (25-9) in 2004-05. Starting in the 2007-08 season and going through the 2019-20 season, his Gaels won 20-plus games for 13 consecutive years. That streak ended with a 14-10 record last season, but the Gaels have had quite a bounce-back year. The 6-10 Tass leads in scoring (12.6) and rebounding (6.2), while getting some help up front from the 6-7 Fotu (6.5 & 3.0) and the 6-8 Bowen (5.9 & 5.8). The backcourt features a trio of double-digit scorers in Kuhse (11.5 & 5.6 APG), Johnson (10.2 & 3.7) and Ducas (10.2 & 3.7). Defense is the team's strength, as the Gaels are allowing just 59.4 PPG (8th-best in the nation).
Mark Few's resume is too long to recount. Gone from Gonzaga's near-perfect team last year are the 6-7 Kispert (18.6 & 5.0), PG Suggs (14.4-5.3-4.5) and guard Ayayi (12.0 & 6.9) but this year's team has hardly missed a beat. The 6-10 Timme (17.8 & 6.4) and PG Nembard (7.0 & 4.8 APG) returned from last season, joined by a recruiting haul that netted Gonzaga THREE of nation's top 25 high school recruits in ESPN's rankings, including 7-footer Chet Holmgren, the top overall prospect who has been called a "unicorn." Holmgren has averaged 14.5 & 9.6 and 6-7 freshman Julian Strawther 12.7 & 5.6. Transfer Rasir Bolton (Iowa State/Penn State) is the fourth double digit scorer at 10.9. The 6-8 Watson (7.6 & 4.5) plus reserve guards Hickman and Sallis have combined to add 10.2 PPG.
I just see St Mary's being in trouble here, as the Gaels held a 15-point, second-half lead last night, before Santa Clara rallied within one and had a chance to go ahead for the first time in the final seconds. St Mary's escaped with a 75-72 win. The Gaels' defense is terrific but Gonzaga averages 88.7 PPG (1st) on 52.4% shooting (2nd), which is 19 more PPG than the Gaels' average. Also note, that Gonzaga knows more than a little about playing defense too, holding opponents to 65.0 PPG on 37.6% shooting (ranks 31st!). The number look too high? I don't think so, as I expect a Gonzaga rout!
