Yonkers, Races 2, 4, 5, 7, 8

Race 2
Entering the series this week, Mach N Cheese comes off a win and gets the rail, where a slight step-up won’t matter. Nandolo N won bigger than big and should have a lot more to give as the series ensues.

Race 4
Whichwaytothebeach left slowly and made a go of it too late against a tougher field. Semi Tough and Pat Stanley N will make impressions in the results.

Race 5
Chase H Hanover was way better than most thought and could steal this leg. Dragon Said, of course, is his main threat,

Race 7
This is a good chance to stop This Is The Plan from sweeping the series and it all has to do with None Bettor A, who haunted Dragon Said last week and can spook “Plan” with a good trip and present a good price.

Race 8
The speed is stuck leaving from the outside, so the best chances go to Covered Bridge from the rail based on his undaunted chasing last out.

Al Cimaglia: Pompano Park Pick 4 Analysis-$15,000 Guaranteed Pool

Pompano Park has an 8-race program set for this evening. The 0.50 Pick 4 begins in Race 5. The sequence has a $15,000 guaranteed pool with a very low 12% takeout, and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 5

3-The Lion King As (6-1)-Has trouble sealing the deal at this level but draws well and this isn't a deep field of Open class picture takers. Looks worthy of a swing at the program price.
4-Keystone Apache (9/2)-My thinking is Macdonald will leave and look to get the pocket behind #5. If my hunch plays out this 7-year-old could make the most of a sweet trip and could be overlooked at the windows.
5-Max (5/2)-Winner of 2 straight should be out and rolling with Miller. If lands on the point without draining the tank it could be picture time again.

Race 6

6-John Mac (6-1)-Came 2nd by a head to a tough winner and was claimed in last. Bumps up, has the gate speed to get a close-up seat and could reward new connections at 1st asking.
7-Drunkenonaplane (4-1)-Steps-up a few levels after drawing off in a 151.4 mile and was Hennssey's choice over the 4/8. Does well racing near the top of the stack and that script could play out here.

Race 7

2-Freaky Flyer (7/5)-Got a perfect steer in last and just got up in time to nip #8 at 3/2. Hennessey got the pocket ride and used that edge down the lane. It would be no surprise if the same plan happens tonight.
8-JK Nowornever (4-1)-Lands outside and Wallis should be leaving off the gate. Comes back in 5 days and even though the post draw doesn't help, still looks a main threat to the program chalk.

Race 8

1-Cratier Zette (5-1)-Broke 2 back and seemed to be handled cautiously last week. Looking for a more aggressive steer in the 3rd straight start from post 1.
7-Joey Pro (5-1)-Even money chalk comes off a disappointing effort against better to finish a beaten 3rd. Hennessey landed in the 2-hole but the 2nd/3rd quarters went in 58.4 and when pulled couldn't clear a well rated winner. Drops to a better level and could be ready to make amends.

Picks Notes
#4 Sense a Million She has historically had some trouble with this kind of company, but she's bringing good form with her to this one, and she should be able to land a pretty good trip while tracking the pace. Interesting here at a square price.
#6 Dilly Dilly Philly She has some good positional pace and has been tough with similar in recent starts, but there are a couple others in here who stack up nicely at what figure to be better prices. Capable player.
#2 Flashing Diamond She finished behind Dilly Dilly Philly when they last met, but she's capable of something a little bit better than she showed that day, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see her turn the tables here.
Race Summary Sense a Million should be a solid price in this spot, and she'll need her best stuff to handle these, but she's usually able to put a couple good races together, so she might be sitting on another decent one today.

Parx Racing - Race #7
Picks Notes
#2 Bella Lino The debut run produced a good effort when flashing some pace early on and hanging around for a piece, and she has some upside with that race under her belt. Interesting here as maybe the third choice?
#9 Queen Lucky She ran a good one in the debut try, and she figures for another really good trip while prompting the pace from the outside. Thinking she'll sustain her move a bit better today, making her tough here.
#7 Sophia Lauren She rallied well in the debut try, but I worry she's going to come alive a bit too late in here with a couple of pretty serious forward players signed on. That said, she can probably move forward here like the top pair in this second start.
Race Summary Bella Lino and Queen Lucky both showed some decent pace in their debut tries, but the former might be a bit better price and should try to have a go for it from near the inside.

Parx Racing - Race #8
Picks Notes
#6 Rex Kwon Do He's a big threat here while moving around two turns after showing some solid pace going 7 furlongs in recent starts, and there doesn't appear to be a ton of serious pace for him to contend with today. Walks the dog?
#2 Maximus Aurelius He has really put things together in those last two starts, and he figures for a great trip while tracking the pace on this rise to winners. Not out of it while facing winners right back.
#7 Kid Bourbon He's a good fit here, but he tends to offer up pretty one-paced finishing efforts, so the guess is he'll be forced to settle for another underneath piece here.
Race Summary Rex Kwon Do and Maximus Aurelius should be right up top early here, but Rex gets the edge as the likely controlling speed while moving around two turns. With a good break, he's going to dare these to catch him.

Today’s Horse Racing Tips – 28th March 2022

NEWCASTLE: RACE 3 @ 3:25 PM

ANNAVISTO (7) went like a rocket first up when making a mess of them at Flemington. Returned a clear new career peak and is open to further improvement stepping up to 1500m. Will have no concerns with the track and looks to get a lovely trail just off the speed. Very well placed at the weights and should take plenty of beating. PROMISE OF SUCCESS (10) has improved with every run this time in and should be right at her peak fourth up. Likely to get back which is always a concern but looks better placed here than at Rosehill. NIMALEE (3) was only narrowly beaten first up at this track and has since trialled well at Randwick. Has won second up and is a noted performer over this trip. EXPAT (5) should lead, next best.
SELECTIONS: Very keen on Annavisto.

QUEANBEYAN: RACE 3 @ 3:10 PM

FLYING ANNIE (4) led and won at Scone first-up and then tried to do the same at Canberra in the CL1 beaten a whisker by Devine Miss. The filly is in one of the nation's top barns and fitter should be winning this using the low barrier. More open the rest. LOOSE WIRE (8) was heavily-bet winning the 50 at the Sapphire Coast and then was okay at this level beaten 2L in the Wagga 58. Will push forward and gets in well with the 3kg claim. Her record at this tricky circuit is good. Each way. SESTINA (6) comes out of the same race and was just beaten as favourite. The rail should advantage and with Owen taking over from the apprentice gets another chance. DEVIATE (1) is a hope going on the lip defeat here two-back
SELECTIONS: Backing Flying Annie to win.

QUIRINDI: RACE 7 @ 5:30 PM

EXOLAY (6) resumed with a near miss for the strong Lees yard and has plenty up the sleeve. The longer sprint suits. Fitter and will go close. Stablemate MISS SANTORINI (9) is also on the improve and will ride the speed. Gets in well with the 2kg claim and can make the finish. CANTRELL (1) draws well and go on the big Maiden win two-back. Can build on that if it's not too wet. RAZZLE DAZZLE (11) will be fitter again and the lightly-raced galloper won't be far away.
