Give me Max Scherzer and the Mets on the money line. This feels like a more than fair price to back New York. The Mets won yesterday's season opener 5-1. Outside of Juan Soto, there's just not a lot to like with that Nationals lineup. I'm really high on the Mets this year. I think the addition of manager Buck Showalter is being vastly underrated. Either way, this is a team I'm going to ride early in the season.
You also got to look at who is on the mound for Washington. It will be 24-year-old Josiah Gray. Guy has good swing and miss stuff, but posted a 5.31 ERA and 1.34 WHIP in 12 starts last year. He had a 9.31 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 9 2/3 innings over 3 spring appearances. Give me the Mets -150!

I don't see the Knicks wanting anything to do with this game, which is why they are a dog. New York has lost 3 of their last 4. It's just hard for teams that get eliminated from playoff contention late in the season to be motivated to finish out the season. Wizards have been out of it for a while. The Chicago Bulls want to get right heading into the playoffs. They are coming off three straight losses against arguably the three best teams in the East in the Heat, Bucks and Celtics.
