7-Unit Play. #929. Take Detroit Tigers -145 over Colorado Rockies (Friday @ 7:10pm est)
If you wait on this line, you might even get a better line as the public is riding Colorado here but frankly, we like the Tigers to get it done at home today. This is a decent public fade but we simply don't trust Senzatela. Yes, Antonio has a 1-0 record with a 2.16 era, but look closer at his splits. You will see that he has given up 16 hits in just 8 innings or so and he faces a Detroit team that is loaded on offense and ready to bust out on offense. Plus, the Tigers have a strong pitching staff and bullpen that can be trusted as 5 of their last 6 games have gone under. They just haven't had the offensive production of late but that is likely to come to fruition today as they face Senzatela who simply can't be getting lucky every time he steps on the mound. Skubal is a stud, he went 5 innings and 4 hits and 0 runs against the Royals in his last start and given the unfamiliarity these Rockies have against him, we like the Tigers to do well here at home. Rockies are just 1-5 in their last 6 interleague games due to their questionable bullpen and Tigers are 8-2 against a right handed pitcher of late.
