Don't look now but the Cincinnati Reds have gone 4-2 in their last six games overall and are swinging the bats very well. The Reds have scored at least 4 runs in eight consecutive games and are averaging 7.7 runs per game in their last seven contests.
This looks like a bit of a letdown spot for the Pirates after taking two out of three from the Los Angeles Dodgers last series. The Reds certainly have the advantage on the mound in this one as well, so they should not be the underdogs.
Connor Overton is 0-0 with a 2.53 ERA and 1.032 WHIP in two starts this season for the Reds. He'll be opposed by J.T. Brubaker, who is 0-2 with a 5.68 ERA and 1.421 WHIP in six starts this season. Brubaker is 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA in his last two starts against the Reds, allowing 10 earned runs in 10 innings.
Pittsburgh is 5-22 in its last 27 games following a game where its bullpen blew a save. Cincinnati is 19-7 in the last 26 meetings. Bet the Reds Thursday.

The Yankees meet the home town White Sox with both teams playing impressive baseball. The Yankees start Gil tonight. He was solid last year and in Spring training, and is now back where he deserves to be in the line-up. I don’t expect any jitters from the youngster today. Cease starts for the White Sox, and has impressed in 5 of 6 outings, but this Yankees team is on a tear, so all bets are off today. The Yankees have a formidable bullpen and the offense to turn any game around. They dismantled the Jays twice, and seeing them as an underdog today is too good to pass up. Take the Yankees to steal this one in the late innings. take the underdog Yankees to win.

Thursday NHL Free play. My selection is on Edmonton over Los Angeles at 10 pm et on Thursday.
The Kings can close out this series on home ice on Thursday but that will be a difficult task as they try to win a third consecutive game. The fact that the Oilers lost Game 5 by a score of 5-4 (in overtime) is notable as they've gone 31-13 after giving up 5+ goals in their previous game over the last three seasons, outscoring opponents by 1.2 goals on average in that spot. As for the Kings, they're a woeful 6-16 when playing at home after scoring 4+ goals in their last game over the last two seasons, outscored by 1.1 goals on average in that situation. Just the fact that the Oilers are coming off a loss of any sort gives them a leg up as they're 25-15 when playing on the road off a loss over the last three seasons. Take Edmonton.

GREY STREAK - Sneaky speed on this one. He'll probably be stalking thoroughbreds on the back side, then bury them down the stretch. This colt has been posting some excellent workout times. Ran a quick time for the last quarter on March 2nd at Gulfstream Park. Anything close in this race should get the job done. That 104 fig this colt notched in his last event tells me he's a chief player today. FORT MOULTRIE - Last ran at Turfway Park and finished fifth. Reviewing his PP lines, I see he was close at the finish, within 5 of the winner.

The speed fig last time around the track doesn't fit very well in this clash when I look at the class rating of today's race. Mark this horse as a possibly overvalued contestant.
