    RECOMMENDED CHOICES
    # 8 LOOK UP 6/1
    # 1 FAVORITE HONEY 2/1
    # 5 WATCH OUT 5/1
My selection for this race is LOOK UP. With Nicasio on top him, this gelding will most likely be able to break out quickly in this event. Could best this group of animals based on the speed fig - 88 - of his last race. FAVORITE HONEY - Is tough not to consider based on Equibase speed figs which have been competitive - 84 avg - of late. Arrossa has one of the most respectable winning percentages in this group of horses with entries running at this distance and surface. WATCH OUT - A solid 89 avg Equibase class rating may give this gelding a distinct class edge versus this group of animals. Has to be given a chance against this field displaying very good numbers lately and an average speed rating of 82 under similar conditions.

      Charles Town - Race #6 - Post: 9:32pm - Allowance - 8.5 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $34,900 Class Rating: 91

      Rating:

      #3 CHARGING LION (ML=5/1)
      #7 ALPHA QUEUE (ML=5/2)
      #1 SHAMCAT (ML=30/1)

CHARGING LION - I unquestionably see positive things for this noble animal right here. ALPHA QUEUE - Gelding finished first his last race here on Apr 20th as a shipper. I think he looks like a winner once again. This gelding is in good form. Finished first on April 20th. Look at this pattern of improvement. 42/72/91 are the last three speed ratings. The 91 last race speed rating looks strong in black and white. SHAMCAT - Each one of this horse's recent finish positions has been progressively better. McKenzie rode this thoroughbred for the first time last out and comes right back this race. Speed, plus the rail, plus a bullring equals a dominant contender. Looking over this horse's PPs, I see a couple of wins at double-digit odds.

Vulnerable Contenders: #8 MARTIN MAN (ML=2/1), #2 MIDNIGHT SHIFT (ML=4/1), #5 COURT AND SPARK (ML=6/1),

MARTIN MAN - You should normally wager against probable favorites that haven't raced or show no activity in the morning over the last three weeks. This horse doesn't have a tenacious temperament. Time-and-again finishes in the place and show hole. MIDNIGHT SHIFT - That was just not a very good exhibition in the last event. COURT AND SPARK - Even though victorious in last, didn't finish the way you'd like to see when stepping up to face tougher opponents. A strong animal that's been running well, but he's been off the track in the mornings recently. Could be tough for this horse to beat this group off of that last speed rating. Not likely to improve enough to run a figure close enough to today's Equibase class figure, so put him on the likely underpriced contenders list.

STRAIGHT WAGERS: Go with #3 CHARGING LION on top if we're getting at least 3/1 odds
      EXACTA WAGERS: Box [1,3,7]

      TRIFECTA WAGERS:
      Box [1,3,7] Total Cost: $6
      SUPERFECTA WAGERS: [1,3,7] with [1,3,7] with [1,3,4,6,7] with [1,3,4,6,7] Total Cost: $36

        FanDuel Horse Racing - Race #4 - Post: 8:54pm - Claiming - 8.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $7,000 Class Rating: 67

        Rating:

        #2 LEMON BLITZ (ML=3/1)

LEMON BLITZ - Jansen drops him down to this class level. You don't need too much more handicapping knowledge to think this one will be tough to beat at this level. Jansen brings him right back. I propose you stick with this hot gelding.

        Vulnerable Contenders: #3 CAMPAIGN SPY (ML=5/2), #1 ZARMAE (ML=7/2), #5 TOCCETIVE JAC (ML=9/2),

CAMPAIGN SPY - This gelding notched a speed rating in his last affair which likely isn't good enough today. ZARMAE - On a downward series. Speed ratings keep deteriorating. This horse hasn't been in the money in either of his last couple of races. TOCCETIVE JAC - Awfully hard to bet on this pony when he hasn't been showing any signs of life of late. This runner will probably need at least one more start after the lackluster showing following the long layoff. Not probable that the speed rating he notched on Apr 30th will be good enough in this event.

GUEST COMMENTARY: Winston - LEMON BLITZ - Earnings per start is one measure of class I like to check out. This thoroughbred is at the top in the group and has a good shot to beat this crew.

STRAIGHT WAGERS: Play #2 LEMON BLITZ to win if you can get odds of 1/1 or more
        EXACTA WAGERS: Skip

        TRIFECTA WAGERS:
        Pass
        SUPERFECTA WAGERS: None
