MLB | Angels vs Yankees
Play on: Yankees -161 at Ace
1* Free Sharp Play on Yankees -161
The Yankees (-161) are worth a look as a big home favorite against the Angels in Wednesday's MLB action. After struggling to do much offensively for about a week, New York exploded for 9 runs on 13 hits in Monday's 9-1 win over LA and that was with Syndergaard on the mound.
I look for the Yankees to stay hot at the plate against the Angels' Reid Detmers. Since throwing that no-hitter back on May 10, Detmers has made just two starts and in those two outings, he's given up 8 runs on 8 hits (4 HR) in just 9 2/3 innings of work.
Will be tough for LA to keep pace offensively with the Yankees, as New York will turn to Nestor Cortes, who is 4-1 with a 1.70 ERA and 0.849 WHIP in 9 starts. Yankees are 7-2 in his 9 starts this year, including a perfect 4-0 at home. Play the Yankees -161!
My “Cutting Room Floor” plays are the situations I considered the closest to being worthy of investment but did not make the “final cut” for my official plays today for subscribers. The last play I cut for Wednesday was with the Tampa Bay Rays with the money-line versus the Jon Gray listing both starting pitchers. Tampa Bay (28-21) has lost the first two games of this series after their 3-0 shutout loss on the road against the Rangers yesterday. The Rays bounced back to win 6 of their last 8 games after a loss. They have also won 38 of their last 55 games after dropping the first two games of a new series. Texas (24-24) has won six of their last seven games. The Rangers have lost 18 of their last 26 games after playing a game where no more than three combined runs were scored. Texas has also lost 5 of their last 7 games after winning five or six of their last seven games. Take Tampa Bay with the money-line listing both starting pitchers. Best of luck — Frank.

1* on Milwaukee Brewers -106 The Key: I like the price we are getting on the Milwaukee Brewers against the lowly Chicago Cubs tonight. The only reason we are getting them at even money basically is because Jason Alexander will be making his MLB debut. But Alexander has been great in the minors with a 2.64 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in 47 2/3 innings this year. He could easily be better than Kyle Hendricks, who is on the downside of his career. Hendricks is 2-5 with a 5.20 ERA in 10 starts this year and has lost his last 2 starts to Cincinnati and Arizona while yielding 11 earned runs and 5 HR's in 9 innings. Hendricks just faced the Brewers on April 29th and yielded 6 earned runs and 3 HR's in 4 1/3 innings of an 11-1 defeat. Take Milwaukee.
