Both of these NL non-division opponents have struggled as of late. Arizona is 3-7 over their last ten and just dropped two of three to the Pirates. Meanwhile, Cincinnati is 1-4 over their last five and lost three of four to the lowly Nationals. In tonight's series opener, Arizona sends out veteran lefty Madison Bumgarner (2-4, 3.31 ERA) while Cincinnati taps righty Hunter Greene (2-7, 6.19 ERA). This line opened with the Reds listed as a short -120 home favorite and the Dbacks a +110 road dog. Sharps have jumped on Arizona getting plus money, dropping the Snakes from +110 to +105. Arizona's biggest advantage comes in the pitching department, with a team ERA of 4.20 compared to Cincinnati's 5.49. The total is 9.5 with the over juiced to -115, signaling liability on a higher scoring game. The over is 17-8 at Great American Ballpark this season, the 2nd best over stadium behind Trust Park of the Atlanta Braves (18-8).


8:10 p.m. ET: Seattle Mariners (24-30) at Houston Astros (35-19)

Both of these AL West rivals are coming off series victories. The Mariners are 6-3 over their last nine games and just took two of three from the Rangers on the road. Meanwhile, the Astros are 6-1 over their last seven and just took two of three from the Royals on the road. In tonight's series opener, Seattle starts lefty Robbie Ray (4-6, 4.93 ERA) while Houston trots out righty Cristian Javier (3-2, 2.41 ERA). This line opened with the Astros listed as a -155 favorite and the Mariners a +140 road dog. Pros have leaned toward laying the chalk with Houston, driving the Astros up to -160. Favorites who made the playoffs last season against teams who didn't are 224-120 (65%) this season. Houston is also 14-4 against lefties this season. The Astros are also 31-12 as a favorite and 14-6 at home while the Mariners are 12-21 as a dog and 12-20 on the road. Pros are also leaning toward a lower scoring game as the total is 8.5 with the under juiced to -115. The under is 37-15 in Astros games this season, including 13-4 in their last 17 games.


9:38 p.m. ET: Boston Red Sox (27-27) at Los Angeles Angels (27-28)

These AL non-division foes are trending in opposite directions. The Red Sox have won four straight and are now back at .500 after struggling for most of the season. On the flip side, the Angels are the coldest team in baseball and have lost 11-straight games. In tonight's series opener, Boston hands the ball to righty Michael Wacha (3-1, 2.43 ERA) and Los Angeles counters with fellow righty Noah Syndegaard (4-3, 4.02 ERA). This line opened with the Angels listed as a -125 home favorite and the Red Sox a +115 road dog. Smart money is happy to bet against the ice cold Angels and has grabbed Boston at plus money, dropping the Red Sox from +115 to +105. Boston will lean on their bats, as the Red Sox are hitting .260 while the Angels sit at .244. Pros are also leaning on a higher scoring game, steaming the total up from 8.5 to 9. The forecast calls for low 70s with 5-10 MPH winds blowing out to center, ideal conditions for hitters.
