There are 7 meetings in Britain and Ireland on a busy afternoon on Wednesday, with flat action coming thick and fast from Cork, Hamilton, Haydock, Kempton and Yarmouth. The best quality is on offer in the evening at Cork, with a fascinating listed sprint at 6.40pm and the Muster Oaks at 7.10pm sure to attract some useful middle distance performers from the top yards in Ireland. NH fans have the cards at Fontwell and Wexford to study, with the ground likely to have eased significantly given
the unsettled weather forecast this week across the country.

She settled well and showed a smart turn of foot to come clear by over six lengths there, and there should be plenty more improvement in the tank after just two career starts, with championship chasing William Buick taking over in the saddle.

#6 Damaso She goes first out for a team that has been very capable from limited tries with local 2-year-olds at this kind of short maiden trip. She appears to be working with her stablemate drawn just inside of her, but that filly missed the May 25 work, so maybe this one is a bit readier to go.
#3 Magic Life She debuts with Jose Ortiz listed to ride, so she's probably taking her share of cash in this first trip to post. Seems capable.
#5 A Nite in Cairo She's another for the same team as the top choice, but I wonder if she might end up being a bit better going further than this short debut trip. Get a good look on the track and tote.
Race Summary Damaso gets a top local rider for the debut run, and the barn has won a handful of races like this in recent years. Guessing she's ready to go here.

Presque Isle Downs - Race #7
Picks Notes
#1 Pure Spring He's not really your typical early burner, but there is not any serious pace signed on, and he occasionally flashes enough speed to think he might be able to take it to this group early from the fence. Has a go for it?
#3 Backdoorparty He's a decent finisher, but that was a fairly flat first try against winners, and I'm not sure he's getting the right setup in this one. His best chance might come if the pace is slow enough that he ends up a bit closer to the splits.
#5 Bishi Riser has historically been way overmatched at this level, but he might be able to stick around for a piece as he has room to improve in the second start of the season, and he might be in an okay spot turning for home.
Race Summary Pure Spring has a right to be tough with this group, as the race shape flatters his ability to show a touch of pace from the rail, and I think a couple of these might wind up with a bit too much to do late.

Presque Isle Downs - Race #8
Picks Notes
#5 Boardwalk Bob He'll need better than he showed when trying this level for the first time, but he can probably sit a bit closer in the early going today, and there are a few decent races over the local footing last year.
#1 Castle King He should get an okay trip from the fence, and he caught the easiest of winners when second here last out. Best stuff would do, but I wouldn't want too short a price.
#6 Honor Collection He comes out of the same race as Castle King after finishing right behind that guy, but I wouldn't get too excited to settle here at a short kind of price.
Race Summary Boardwalk Bob is capable of something better, and I'm hoping the other listed pair take enough cash to keep him at a playable price. He might have just taken a step back off the big two-back effort.
