TRUE JEDI - Took a significant drop in class rating last out at Churchill Downs. Returning to a similar level right here in this race. Should do well. Comparing how the horses in this field have fared under similar conditions, I see this horse has the highest speed rating for the distance-surface. CLOUD WITHOUT REIN - I just may give this one a good shot. Should improve off last race where he did run out of the money, but was within 5 lengths at the wire. VERITABLE - Likes to go to the lead and the fact that today is a shorter trip should be advantageous. Have to make this colt a strong challenger; he comes off a solid effort on Jun 25th. I'm focusing on the class of this horse, and this one is the 'classiest' of the bunch.

DERIVATIVE - Can't play this racer in today's sprint of 5 1/2 furlongs. Hasn't even hit the board in a short distance event of late. Hasn't been in a race since Jun 18th, probably too long ago to do much today. HUNTER JOHN - He showed not much at all in the last event. Should have at least finished in the money in the last couple of months in a sprint affair to be worth it at modest odds in a sprint. VASSAR'S BOY - Tough to support any pony in a short distance race if he hasn't finished in the money in a sprint in the last two months. When looking at today's class figure, he will have to register a better speed figure than last time out to compete in this turf sprint.

I've got to go with VOUCH. Has to be given a shot - I like the figs from the last race. Strong average Equibase speed figs in dirt sprint races make this animal a solid contender. Looks solid versus this group and will probably be one of the leaders. G DADDY - Ought to go to the front end and should never look back.
