FORTY THREE - Vargas comes to ride after getting to know the gelding in the last event. This jock/conditioner duo has been producing a very favorable ROI, right at +68. I really like that last effort on July 23rd at Louisiana Downs where he finished first. Have to like the way Balderas has raced this gelding back into shape off the layoff. Animal is well spotted in this sprint and I think he'll run well today. Just check out his last rating, 95. That one looks good in this bunch. KAHAAL - I seem to always make money betting Bourgeois horses on the grass. That barn has a solid win pct for this distance/surface. This gelding should find these state breds easier than what he faced in his last race on Jul 21st. I like this gelding a lot here. He shows a lot of consistency, finishing in the money frequently. Last out on the grass, this equine was great. Anything close in this field, and this one should win. GUITARTUITION PLZZ - It looks like the race should set up for a late runner. This gelding's running style fits the bill nicely. Don't often see a positive return on investment like +69. This jockey/trainer tandem has done well together over the last year. ITELLYOUTHEFACTS - Wilson has this gelding spotted in the right race.

DEER CROSSING - Not likely for this entrant to do much running with no success lately in a short distance race. ALL MIKE NO MAE - The finish of fourth in the last affair shows me that this horse may be getting out of condition. This gelding registered a speed figure in his last event which probably isn't good enough in today's event. HENNING - A bit of a less than stellar outing when this gelding finished seventh. The Brain cautions me to stay away from horses in short distance races that haven't hit the board in sprint contests of late.
