I'll take my chances with the Twins as a -124 home favorite against the Red Sox on Monday. Minnesota comes in fresh off a 3-game sweep of the Giants at home over the weekend. Not only does the Twins have momentum coming into this series, but they have a massive edge on the mound.
Minnesota will start Dylan Bundy, who has had a bit of a resurgence of late. Bundy has a 1.76 ERA and 0.652 WHIP over his last 3 starts. He's also pitched extremely well at home in 2022, posting a 2.68 ERA and 0.967 WHIP in 8 home starts. Brayan Bello will take the mound for Boston. He's got a 8.47 ERA and 2.176 WHIP in 4 starts.
Red Sox also just got done playing 3 straight 3-game series against division opponents. Boston is 3-14 in the last 2 seasons when playing on the road after playing 9 or more consecutive games against AL East teams. Give me the Twins -124!

The Los Angeles Angels are showing great value as big home underdogs to the New York Yankees tonight. The Angels just swept all three games with the Blue Jays last series while outscoring them 22-3 in the process. With a healthy Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani down the stretch, the Angels will be dangerous.
The Yankees are 8-16 in their last 24 games overall. They are really struggling at the plate right now as they have scored 4 runs or fewer in 16 of their last 18 games. They cannot be trusted as this big of a favorite over the Angels tonight.
Frankie Montas has been a huge disappointment since getting traded to New York. He is 0-1 with a 7.32 ERA in four starts for the Yankees, allowing 16 earned runs in 19 2/3 innings. Montas is 2-3 with a 5.82 ERA in eight road starts this season as well.
Jose Suarez has quietly gone 3-2 with a 1.93 ERA in his last five starts, allowing just 6 earned runs in 28 innings. Montas' teams are 7-16 (-10.4 Units) in his 23 starts this season. The Yankees are 4-11 in their last 15 road games. Bet the Angels Monday.

Off a disappointing four-game split against the lowly A's I look for the Yankees to take their frustrations out on the Angels on Monday night in Anaheim.
Frankie Montas will get the start for New York. Things haven't necessarily gone as planned since he joined the Yankees in a blockbuster deal prior to the deadline but he'll undoubtedly be happy to see a former divisional foe in the Angels, noting that he owns a 2.35 ERA and 1.06 WHIP in 12 previous starts against them. He's faced them twice this season, striking out 14 batters while allowing only two earned runs in 7 2/3 innings of work. On the season, Montas sports a 3.55 FIP and 1.21 WHIP while allowing 4.34 runs per nine innings.
Jose Suarez will counter for Los Angeles. He's struggled at home this season, logging a 5.53 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in six starts. Overall, he owns a 4.19 FIP and 1.34 WHIP while yielding 4.32 runs per nine innings.
The Yankees should have a considerable advantage in the later innings as their bullpen has posted a collective 3.20 ERA and 1.22 WHIP over the last seven games while the Angels 'pen has recorded a 3.97 ERA and 1.32 WHIP over the same stretch (both entering yesterday's action). Take New York.
