This is a play on the ARIZONA CARDINALS for our Sunday Free Play. Week Two of the NFL season is all about overreactions. One game in and in a lot of cases, opinions are formed based on those performances and while it can hold some water, the circumstances play a part which can lead to these overreactions. Arizona looked bad in the season opener against Kansas City as it lost 44-21 and it really was not that close as the Chiefs were up 37-7 and the Cardinals scored their final two touchdowns on drives in garbage time which makes their 282 total yards of offense look that much worse. Early money adjusted this line as it opened -3.5 on Sunday night and by Monday afternoon, had been bet up to -5.5 with a few -6 odds out there and it has settled back to -5.5 in most places as of Saturday. Arizona is not as bad as what was on display as it was down some key defensive players which is not ideal against a team like the Chiefs and the good news is two key members will be back as defensive end J.J. Watt and corner Trayvon Mullin practiced this week and look to be back. On the other side, offensive lineman Justin Pugh should return after missing last week. The Raiders lost a tough battle in Los Angeles as they came down from two touchdowns to get it down to a five-point deficit and got the ball back and they drove to their 40-yard line but turned the ball over when Derek Carr was strip-sacked on fourth down. He did not play well as he completed only 59 percent of his passes and threw three interceptions and will be facing a lesser but healthier defense this week. The offensive line proved it is a weakness as Carr was sacked six times and the Cardinals can get more pressure this week than they did last week. The Raiders defense played solid against the Chargers but they will be without two key players as linebacker Denzel Perryman and safety Trevon Moehrig left last week and are out in Week Two. Here, we play on road underdogs or pickems that allowed 5.4 or more yards per play last season, after allowing 450 or more total yards in their previous game.
