I am not a fan of wagering on two teams with no chance of making the playoffs, but I like side and total in this spot. We didn’t play bases last night and won’t this weekend due to football. Let’s try to grab two units here. The Pirates have lost seven straight games but are the favorites tonight over the Cubs, who have won three straight. The general public will be all over Chicago. The Cubs will start Javier Assad, who doesn’t have much experience and walks a lot of batters. Bryse Wilson is the much more experienced starter but a below-average pitcher. The wind is blowing out tonight, and I expect both teams to do enough to send this over the total. Look for Pittsburgh to snap their losing streak tonight at home. Take the Pirates and the Over.
