While the Dolphins are off to a great start, I believe that this will prove to be a very tough spot. They're off three straight "emotional" wins. Their Week 1 win over the Patriots wasn't necessarily that challenging. However, it was still a divisional game against Belichick. Next, came a crazy comeback against the Ravens, a game where they were down 21. That was followed by last week's narrow divisional win over the Bills, the early front-runner for the Super Bowl. Playing a road game, on a short week, against the defending AFC champs, I expect those hard-fought victories to catch up to the Dolphins.

After starting 0-2, the Bengals took care of business in a big way. Their 27-12 victory wasn't nearly as emotionally taxing as Miami's win over Buffalo. Arguably, not as physically taxing either. Note that Tagovailoa left the Bills game, before returning. Coach McDaniel commented: "He kind of got bent back pretty severe on a quarterback sneak earlier," McDaniel said. "... When he hit his head on the ground, I assumed it was a head injury, but his legs got wobbly because his lower back was completely loose as he described it."Tagovailoa, for his part, noted: "Kind of got my legs caught under someone, they were trying to push back and it felt like I hyper-extended my back or something. It kind of hurt. I got up, and that's kind of why I stumbled. My back kind of locked up on me. But for the most part, I'm good. Passed whatever concussion protocol they had." While he should be good to go, those type of comments aren't exactly ideal, particularly on a short week. An apparent investigation by the league about how the Dolphins handled the injury adds further distraction.

With a 1-2 start, the Bengals still can't afford to slip up. They've got their mojo back and I expect them to carry it into this game. Though I do anticipate a comfortable win and cover, with the Dolphins having played b2b really close games, I'm electing to go with the ML.
