VINTAGE HOLLYWOOD - Gelding took a little vacation, but has been racing into shape. Took a big class drop last out, and I think he may have needed it. Rodriguez enters him at a similar class today. I'd expect an improved performance. The improved Equibase speed figures over the last 3 races is solid. Rodriguez drops him in this clash fit and ready to go. Rodriguez gets a break on this horse carrying 5 pounds less than last out. Could make the difference right here in this race. SCILLY CAY - Rider jumped on this horse's back for the first time on September 16th. Should 'know' the horse even better this time around. Trainer Brown moves this one down the ladder based on class to face a lower rated field. Look for a good race given the class advantage. A repeat of that most recent effort on Sep 16th where he earned a figure of 83 looks high enough to score in this affair.

MOIRAINE - This noble animal is at the top of my list of choice plays. Her pace, along with a favorable post on this tight track, should take her far in this one. Should do well in this race. Weight shift of -12 from September 15th race at Charles Town. I SHALLBE RELEASED - Rode this horse on September 24th and Cullum is right back in the irons this time around. This filly is the longer price of the 'split' entry from the barn of Runco. That 55 fig this filly recorded in her last race tells me she's a big time player today. This animal has increased her speed ratings from a fig of 24 to 26 to 55 in succession. FREYA'S BLESSING - This mount could be tough this time, especially since Riosconde rode in the last race and now should be more familiar with this one. This jockey and handler's horses have been producing a profitable return on investment.

This 6yo gelding has a clear early speed advantage against this group and consistently rips opening quarters under 22 seconds. The long odds certainly reflect the obvious observation the horse hasn't sustained that speed and is winless this year, but I think he might be catching a weak field here today as he drops in for a claiming tag of $20k. Trainer Sharp has been anything but sharp at Keeneland, but this looks like the better of his two longshots here.

The ghosts of Keeneland past would suggest that picking winners was just looking for the word Kitten in the horse's name. The Ramseys have a much smaller operation now, but this filly has been a consistent check casher even though there is only one win on the PPs. Look for a better closing kick today and the pace setup and the cooler weather should help the Keeneland turf course play a little bit more favorably to his late run (as long as Corrales doesn't move too soon).

Race 7: This $50K Claimer goes 1-1/16th on the main track. Trainer Wes Ward has been heating up and is winning at 27% this meet. Implementation drops from running an Allowance here at Kee on October 8th to the claiming ranks today. This horse has tons of speed and I look for jockey Joel Rosario to place this gelding up front then attempt to slow the pace down and wire the field. Shiekh Abdullah hasn't seen the winner's circle with this one since February. He'll have a square price when he crosses the wire first today.

The Bet: Race 7: $100 across the board on #2-IMPLEMENTATION

Race 8: This one goes 1-1/8th miles on the grass. Trainer Todd Pletcher is winning at a 32% clip this meet and ships Insatiable in from the east coast where this filly has run five straight 5-1/2 furlong sprints at Monmouth. Pletcher is taking over training duties from Greg Sacco on this one where he believes this filly should be going long instead of short. I see jockey Luis Saez giving this daughter of Tapit a ground-saving trip before coming from behind in the stretch. Her 8-1 odds only add to the appeal.

The Bet: Race 8: $50 across the board on #3-INSATIABLE

8th race – (5) Personal Best (B) was an easy winner at Kentucky Downs and can make it two wins in a row. 1st race [Md Sp Wt, 6F] – (6) Quarrel (B) ran second in her debut last month finishing well ahead of the rest of the field. She was sent off at 7-2 for a low profile trainer. (8) Positive Message was heavily bet in both of her starts for Graham Motion, set the pace each time, and now cuts back to sprinting for the first time. (4) Tribal Queen was also heavily bet in her two starts both of which were on the dirt. Trainer Tony Dutrow has good numbers moving horses from dirt to turf. (3) Lady Caraggio was sent off at 7-1 in her debut at Saratoga for Bill Mott where she set the pace.
2nd race [Clm 10000, 7F] – (1) Scilly Cat makes a big drop down to this low claiming level with good recent form against much tougher competition. (4) First Deputy is in excellent form for a barn that woke back up at the current Belmont/Aqueduct meeting. He was claimed for $10,000 at Keeneland in the Spring. (2) Prayer Book broke his maiden at Aqueduct last year on the main track and has been running on turf and dirt. (5) Even Thunder has past success at Aqueduct even though his recent races were around the Mid-Atlantic region in claimers and starter allowances.
6th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 6F] – (10) D’ont Lose Cruz (B) set the pace in his debut for Rick Schosberg, lost a head bob, and was much better than the rest of the field. (4) Inspector was sent off in his debut at 7-2 for the Asmussen barn, My Racehorse, and Bloom Racing and finished fourth. (1) Lifetime of Chance will make his first start for DJ Stable and comes from a dam who produced a Grade 3 winner as 2-year-old. (5) Leftembehind is by Accelerate and will make his second start for Barclay Tagg and Sackatoga Stable after getting bumped around in his initial start last month at 8-1.
8th race [Alw 50000s, 7F] – (1) Know It All Audrey was claimed for $16,000 from a win two races back and then was second in a NY-bred allowance three weeks ago. (3) Chaysenbryn is an Aqueduct regular with an excellent record of 6: 2-2-1. Her start was a second in one of these starter allowances at Saratoga. (9) Sister Supream has four top three finishes at this level in her recent races including earlier in the month at BAQ. (4) I’m Nervous Now won a maiden claimer in her debut at the Spa and was claimed for $40,000 by Charlie Baker and came back to run fourth.
