3% NC State (+4) 8:00 PM ET ACC Network
It would be easy to fade NC State without QB Leary and jump on Wake Forest to bounce back from their 8 turnover debacle in a 21-48 loss at Louisville last week. That defeat however, was in part FO’REAL as the Deacons were outrushed 92-211. In last week’s 22-21 season-saving home victory vs. VA Tech (trailed 21-3), the Wolfpack found their QB of the future with true frosh QB Morris who led that comeback win. He threw for 265 PY and 3 TDs. For Wake, QB Hartman may not find things much more to his liking than in the 3 INTs he pitched last week. That’s because the Wolfpack has a Top 10 pass defense with an 8/11 ratio. Key to this play is twofold. First, the fact that the Wolfpack are the home dog with the better defense, and second, they qualify under the 22-6 “Easy Money System” play as, in the start of this season, they would have been a double digit favorite.
