My choice in this event is REINVESTEDINTEREST. Ought to be considered a solid contender on earnings per start at the distance/surface alone. Overall the speed figs of this horse look quite good in this contest. Should be carefully examined based on the formidable Equibase speed fig recorded in the last contest. VISUAL MISSION - Salcedo has this gelding racing well and is a strong selection based on the competitive speed figures recorded in sprint races lately. CRAZYCANTBERIGHTED - He should have a strong outing versus this softer lot. Has run very well when racing a dirt sprint race.

MT. TAYLOR - Lone speed horses can be tough to run down. Here's a lone front-runner facing sluggish sorts today. After a pair of sprints, he's routing today, which is probably what this gelding wants to do. Two starts back coming off a brief layoff at Albuquerque the horse looked good, but turned in a clunker the next time. In today's contest I like the ability to bounce back off that dull effort with another nice event. SWITCHERONIMO - I like to wager on this angle, a campaigner coming back off a strong effort within the last 30 days.

Vulnerable Contenders: #5 DUBRONSKY (ML=5/2), #8 SUN TREADER (ML=9/2), #7 I'MAGAMBLER (ML=6/1),

DUBRONSKY - This horse hasn't been in the mix in either of his last two efforts. SUN TREADER - No speed in this event to help this stretch-runner's hopes. I'MAGAMBLER - While Equibase's speed ratings are solid, I would not consider the high one from the October 17th in the slop. Some horses just run well on the off going. This was a hot horse, but now this one hasn't been doing anything in the morning. Have to be leery of this one.

I've got to go with TRAPPER JON. Change in Lasix (now going off Lasix) may be the means to a return to the races. Overall the speed figures of this racer look competitive in this affair. Ran a very solid last race. VOODOO VINNIE - With a strong 74 Equibase Speed Fig last time out, will clearly be a factor in this outing. FIRE ME QUICK - Have to look at solely on class, with some of the strongest class figures of this field.

MAD GENIUS - Have to like the way Farrior has raced this gelding back into shape off the layoff. Horse is well spotted in this sprint and I think he'll run well today. This gelding is back in a race very quick. This is a great angle - Sprint horses that come back in less than 10 days after a race. A good sign of a sharp and ready racehorse. Look for this one to go all the way home at some decent odds right here in this race. Ran sixth in last race, but not more than 5 from the lead at the end. You have to be keen on that most recent race speed figure, 76, which is the best recent race speed rating of this group. Is ranked uppermost in earnings per race. A dominant try today can add to the lifetime bankroll. CODIGO - Lynch has an 'uncoupled' entry here. Best to watch out for the longer priced half. The latest fig of 76 is the highest last race speed fig in the group. CRIMSON ROCKET - This gelding is put right back into a race in less than 10 days; this is a positive sign. You always have to be on the watch for revenue generating jock/conditioner teams; we have one right here. Finished seventh at Laurel last out. Was close at the end and at odds of 6/1 in this race, he looks like a possible contender.

UNION FLEET - That was just not a very good display in the last affair. BETTHEOVER - No success for this racer in a sprint affair over the last two months tells me that this gelding is in a very difficult spot Would have to move up off that sixth place finish last time out to make an impact here. This gelding recorded a speed rating in his last clash which probably isn't good enough in today's event. NEVER SILENCED - In any contest of 7 furlongs, I like to support a contender that has been looking good in sprint events recently. Didn't look so great last time out. Probably won't make an impact in today's race.

Feel pretty confident putting some green stuff down on MT STERLING MAFIA. Worth considering here on the basis of the markings in the speed rating department alone. Good for a win wager just off the terrific prior class ratings. Have to like this nice horse. WINYARD HANOVER - Exhibits the look of a profitable play, averaging a nifty 72 TrackMaster Speed Rating. Could surely better this field of starters given the 68 speed rating achieved in his most recent race. MINGO - This gelding has the ability to take successful advantage of a favorable pace scenario in this outing. A nice class horse should not be be missed. With an avg class stat of 75 all signs point to yes.
