This is a play on the ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS for our Wednesday Free Play. South Dakota St. overcame poor shooting and 25 turnovers to outlast St. Bonaventure in a four-point win that was played in Sioux Falls. The Jackrabbits led by as much as eight points in the first half but trailed by as much as nine points in the second half before rallying and pulling away late. This comes after a split last week against Akron and Boise St. as they were able to cover both of those with the travel not being an issue with the proximity of the two opponent campuses but now they are in a difficult travel spot. This game was a late addition to the schedule after Arkansas basically reneged in a game with Toledo to schedule this one and it is very rare for a college team to play back-to-back game not involved in a tournament in the same site but now they have to travel to Fayetteville coming off a hard fought win and this is not a good position to be in. Arkansas is coming off 18 and 26-point wins over North Dakota St. and Fordham respectively, splitting the covers and it remains home before playing away from home for the first time next week against Louisville in the Maui Invitational. Arkansas has moved up one spot to No. 8 in the AP poll and remained at No. 10 in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll and this is the first home game for the Razorbacks in 27 years when ranked inside the top ten. The Razorbacks went 17-1 at home last season and are loaded once again. They have rolled thus far as this is without the services of freshman Nick Smith, Jr. who remains out with a balky knee and he is a projected lottery pick in the upcoming NBA draft so it shows the depth of this team. I cashed in the New Orleans Pelicans last night over the Memphis Grizzlies. But now I'm going against the Pelicans tonight in what is a terrible spot for them. They will be playing the 2nd of a back-to-back and their 8th game in 13 days. Ingram and McCollum both played 37 minutes last night, and the Pelicans could be without Zion Williamson again.
This is a great spot for the Bulls. They come in on two days' rest and are playing just their 2nd game in 7 days. They also come in pissed off after a blowout loss to Denver, plus a 4-point home loss to the Pelicans the game prior. They will now be out for revenge from that loss to New Orleans a week ago.
Chicago is 17-4 ATS in its last 21 games after allowing a shooting percentages of 50% or higher in two consecutive games. The Bulls are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 road games. The Pelicans are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games when playing on zero rest. New Orleans is 1-5 ATS in its last six games following a win. Chicago is 15-5-1 ATS in its last 21 trips to New Orleans.
