I think the Oilers are worth the price of admission in this spot. LA is off a 6-5 loss at Calgary two nights ago. It continues its tough road trip with a game at Vancouver on Friday, followed by Seattle on Saturday. The Oilers are off a much-needed 4-2 win at Florida to conclude a 2-2 road trip. I say the build momentum after that victory. They've had two whole nights off to rest. They have a difficult upcoming schedule, so these are games that they simply can't look past; consider laying the price with Edmonton on this one!

Wednesday's Free NBA Pick: Denver Nuggets -3.5


I'll take my chances with the Nuggets as a slim 3.5-point home favorite against the Knicks tonight. This line was originally expected to be around 6.5 to 7 in favor of Denver, but the news broke last night that Jokic was going to be out after entering health and safety protocols. I just feel that news along with the massive line shift has created some value with the Nuggets in this one.
Denver has more than enough talent to beat this Knicks team without Jokic and this is an absolutely awful spot for New York. The Knicks will be playing in one of the more dreaded back-to-back scenarios, which is playing at Utah and then at Denver. It's also NY's 3rd game in 4 nights and they have a matchup with the defending champs looming on deck Friday. Give me the Nuggets -3.5!

We won with the Suns in this same matchup here in Phoenix in late October and I won't hesitate to go back to the well with the same play on Wednesday. Golden State has shot exceptionally well over its last four games but interestingly has now been held to 88 or fewer field goal attempts in four of its last five contests. On the flip side, the Warriors last four opponents have gotten off 91, 92, 91 and 100 field goal attempts as they've shown little interest or ability to settle the pace. Despite missing some key contributors, the Suns continue to force the issue offensively, hoisting up 95+ field goal attempts in each of their last three games. They also continue to lock down the opposition defensively, limiting five straight foes to 83 or fewer FG attempts. Noting that the Suns are 4-1 SU and ATS in the last five meetings here in Phoenix, we'll back the home side again on Wednesday. Take Phoenix.

FLYIN BESSIE - Stalking speed. My partners and I like this one. This filly is tops in earnings per race. Take a long look at this one in the saddling ring. The 72 last race speed fig looks mighty good in the TrackMaster PPs. COLLECTED GLORY - Filly had the second fastest workout of the day prepping for this.

Vulnerable Contenders: #9 DAZZLING BLUE (ML=5/2), #2 MOMENT TO SHINE (ML=9/2), #3 AUNT MISCHIEF (ML=8/1),

DAZZLING BLUE - Doesn't seem to be in a strong spot this time. MOMENT TO SHINE - Doesn't appear to be in a convenient circumstance this time around. This horse has to be in good condition coming back to race so soon. BIKINI SO TEENY - Lately Rivera has provided players with a competitive winning percentage with horses racing in dirt sprint races. A DANGEROUS GUY - I'm optimistic this colt will run well today. Last workout was 2nd fastest of the day, which tells me he's sharp right now. Taking a trip down in the class scale; has the ability to make his presence felt.

SPIKEZONE - This morning-line choice ran on October 20th and hasn't had a morning drill after that. Never really did much at all last out on Oct 25th. Hard to wager on in today's event. Registered a run-of-the-mill speed fig last time out in a $50,000 Optional Claiming race on Oct 25th. Not probable to see an improved performance off of that rating.

You have to lean toward a horse that likes to win, very attractive win figure. NICE TRIP - It's a bit chancy to consider solely based on class, but this mare has among the most respectable class markings of the bunch.
