Germany should walk away with a win here but I'm not as confident in them blowing Japan out of the water. The thing I like the most though for Germany is that Japan's defense is old. Really old. And Gnabry is getting better and better as a scoring threat and will likely be able to get behind Japan's defense. Game Notes: As we get through a small volume and lower-rated plays to begin this tournament I feel now is likely the right time to amp up selections and ratings moving forward. We've seen some lower-scoring games with teams looking to secure a point (via draws) on MD1 but there are going to be games where the talent disparity is big enough that we should see some victories by a margin much like France/Australia on Tuesday and this is another that fits that mold. Spain has a fluid attacking style and while I expect Costa Rica to try and defend for big parts of this game ultimately a breakthrough and lead opens this for another multi-goal win.
