I think the Leafs are worth the price of admission in this spot. They're 19-6-6-0 overall, including 8-4-3-0 on the road. Washington is 15-13-2-2, including 8-5-1-1 at home. The Leafs are off a 3-1 loss at the Rangers, but when they faced the Capitals at home at the start of the year, they won 3-2. I expect a similar final score here as well. The Caps are off a 2-1 home loss to Dallas, and here's another poor matchup; consider Toronto on Saturday!

The Buffalo Bills want revenge from a 19-21 road loss at Miami in Week 3. Keep in mind the Bills were feeling fat and happy going into that game after blowing out the defending champion Rams and the Titans to start the season. They had a letdown, but they still should have won that game in a blowout when you look at the numbers.
Indeed, the Bills actually outgained the Dolphins 497 to 212 in that game, or by 285 total yards. But they continued to struggle in the red zone time after time. It was a fluky win for the Dolphins to say the least. The Bills were 4-point road favorites in that game and are now only 7-point home favorites in the rematch, which is only a 3-point adjustment for flipping home fields.
Buffalo has one of the biggest home-field advantages in the NFL. That will be amplified this week with snow and heavy winds in the forecast. I love fading teams that are used to playing in warm weather when they go outdoors in the cold and snow. The Dolphins aren't accustomed to it like Buffalo is. Plus, Tua hasn't ever played in a game in his career with temperatures under 37 degrees. It will be below freezing Saturday night.
The Dolphins have been absolutely exposed the last two weeks. They managed just 17 points and 308 total yards against the 49ers in a 16-point road loss. They stayed out West to face the Chargers, and it was an even more disappointing performance scoring 17 points and gaining just 213 yards against a Los Angeles defense that was missing seven starters. They got outgained by 213 yards by the Chargers as it was a much bigger blowout than the final score showed.
Now the Dolphins have had to travel from Los Angeles back to Miami and then to Buffalo. They will be playing their 3rd consecutive road game here, which is as tough a spot as there is in the NFL. I think they are out of gas, and I think the Bills will make the proper adjustments from that first meeting. Take away the middle of the field like the Chargers did and you will have success defending Miami's offense. This is a Buffalo defense that ranks 2nd in scoring at 17.0 points per game allowed, and I trust Sean McDermott to make those adjustments.
The Dolphins are 1-5 ATS in their last six road games and allowing 31.4 points per game on the road this season. The Bills are 9-3-2 ATS in their last 14 games following an ATS loss. Miami is 2-7-1 ATS in its last 10 trips to Buffalo. Since 2002 when the Dolphins visit Buffalo after October 31 they are 3-12 SU and getting outscored by nearly 13 points per game. Bet the Bills Saturday.

There is a such a thing as a letdown off a loss and I think we'll see precisely that from Boise State in the Frisco Bowl on Saturday night. I can't help but feel it was 'Mountain West Conference Championship or bust' for the Broncos this season and they ultimately busted, dropping that conference title game by a 28-16 score against Fresno State. The consolation prize is a trip to the Frisco Bowl against a seven-win opponent in North Texas that fired its head coach Seth Littrell after losing the C-USA Championship Game. While Boise State QB Hank Bachmeier is transferring out of the program, North Texas will have its starting QB Austin Aune who looks to perhaps improve his NFL Draft stock in this game. The Mean Green Eagles are the considerably healthier team entering this game but off three straight ATS losses, with the lone straight-up victory over that stretch coming as a double-digit favorite against Rice, they're being given little respect by the betting marketplace. I'll back them here in a game where I feel the line should be far closer to a touchdown. Take North Texas.
