As a lifelong Lions fan, this season started out as another S.O.L. (Same Old Lions) Year. After putting together a nice 7-2 run, the Lions either have a chance to win and get in or at least play the spoiler role and keep the Packers of the Playoffs. Aaron Rodger has the Packers' offense finally rolling and will be licking his chops looking at a Lions defense that is one of the worst in the league against the pass and run. Detroit has scored a ton of points this year but is much better at home than on the road. Goff is also a better quarterback at home. One key will be the result of the Seattle game played earlier in the day. A Seattle win and this game will mean nothing for the Lions except to play a spoiler role. A Seattle loss will be a win and get in for either team. With this game being flexed to Prime Time Sunday night, this sets up to be an S.O.L. Lions game. With the way Rodgers is playing, the Green Bay offense should have a big day against the Detroit defense.

I am on the OVER in the Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers game in week 18 on Sunday. While this will be the biggest game of the week by far, both teams must win and will be trying their absolute best. Green Bay has come alive in the past few weeks putting up an enormous amount of points. The Packers are averaging 30.4 ppg in their past five games in that span.

The Lions have also been putting up a bunch of points themselves, averaging 31.6 in their last five games. The Packers have seen the total go OVER in ten of their last eleven (91%) games after scoring more than 30pts in their last game. With Aaron Rodgers on one side of the ball and a team with heart playing on the other, I expect a very high-scoring game in a must-win game.

The Chargers are surging as postseason play gets set to begin, winners of 4 straight and 5 of 6 as they head to Denver for their regular season finale. LA has demolished the point spread recently, covering the number by double digits in each of their last 2 games. This contest is far from meaningless to the Chargers, who definitely want to stay locked into the 5 seed. They’ll retain that seed with a win, which would have them play either the Jags or the Titans. If LA was to drop to #6, they would have to face either the Chiefs, Bills, Bengals, or Ravens, so plenty of incentive for them to win against a team that’s been a laughingstock for most of the season. The Broncos have now lost 7 of 8, and a change in coaching isn't enough to salvage a cover at such a low number. The defense has really been a difference-maker in the 2nd half for LA, and they’re playing some of the best football in the NFL at the moment. Take the Chargers.
