I'll take my chances with the Heat as a 3-point home favorite against Bucks on Thursday. The line here really tells us who to bet in this one. Milwaukee is without a doubt the better team, yet they are getting 3-points against a depleted Miami team that has several key guys out with injury. Just last night the Bucks were a 4.5-point favorite at Atlanta and won 114-105.
One of the big reasons the line is what it is, is there's a good chance Milwaukee will rest some guys in the second game of a back-to-back (also Bucks 3rd road game in 4 nights), including Giannis. It's also worth pointing out the Greek Freak hasn't exactly been lighting it up of late. He's scored just 38 points combined over his last 3 games. Heat have been great defensively of late, despite all the injuries, allowing just 104.2 ppg over their last 5 contests. Give me the Heat -3!

This is a free play on CAL.
The Flames took a 3-1 lead to the third period in Tuesday's game in St. Louis, but the Blues rallied to force overtime and ended up winning 4-3. This sets up a revenge angle for the Flames as they play the second game of this two game set in St. Louis Thursday. The Blues are 3-8 in their last 11 games playing on 1 days rest. St. Louis will be shorthanded, with forwards O'Reilly and Tarasenko out, and a decimated blue line.

What am I missing here? Calgary was a huge favorite here in St. Louis two nights ago and the Blues won 4-3 in OT. Calgary is just 7-7-5-2 on the road. St. Louis is now 8-8-2-0 at home. The Flames average 3.05 GPG, while the Blues average 3.17. The difference has been on the defensive end, but I still say Calgary is vastly over-rated here on the road; the value in my opinion lies with the undervalued home underdog, so consider the Blues again here on Thursday night!

This looks like a good spot for the USC Trojans to get back on track after consecutive road losses to Washington State by 10 and UCLA by 2. They have played their last four games on the road and haven't been at home since December 18, which resulted in an upset win over Auburn. They are 7-1 at home this season.
They face a Colorado Buffaloes team that has one of the biggest home/road splits in the country over the last several years. Colorado is 1-3 SU in true road games this season with upset losses at Grambling by 9, at Washington by 10 and at California by 4 with two of those coming as double-digit favorites. Their lone road win came by 3 at lowly Stanford. This is by far their toughest road test this season.
Colorado is 21-48 ATS in its last 69 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. The Trojans are 4-0 ATS in their last four games vs. a team with a winning record. USC is 4-1 ATS in its last four games overall with a 9-point win over Colorado State on a neutral and a 13-point win at Washington as well. The Trojans have had a full week to prepare for Colorado after last playing on January 5th and are primed for a big effort tonight. Bet USC Thursday.

When it's bad versus bad, like this matchup, my first look is to back the underdog. Throw in this being Ottawa's initial visit to the Coyotes' new temporary home - Mullett Arena on the campus of Arizona State - and I like the Coyotes to not only win the first period, but the game, too.
The Coyotes have a winning home mark. Visiting opponents have trouble adjusting to the smaller dimensions compared to normal professional hockey arenas.
Arizona has lost six in a row. However, the Coyotes led in four of those six games. The Senators have the third-fewest points in the Eastern Conference. So the bar is not set very high here for the Coyotes to win.
Ottawa has lost in seven of its last nine games against Arizona.
