Expect a strong stretch drive. Going on Lasix for the 1st time. While a common handicapping angle, it's still quite important when deciding on your contenders. This colt is utmost in earnings per start. Take a long look at this thoroughbred before the race.

I've got to go with ATOMIC TONE. He has been racing quite well lately while recording strong Equibase Speed Figs. Has solid front-end speed and will almost certainly fare well against this group of horses in this race. Has been close up at the wire most every time lately. WE ALL SEE IT - I like the rider on this colt - solid chance to win the race. Could beat this group of animals given the 91 Equibase Speed Fig recorded in his last outing. GOOD IDEA - If you gander closely, this one has some longshot possibilities. Has to be carefully examined against this group displaying strong numbers recently and an average Equibase speed fig of 75 under similar conditions.

Illinois had an off-game against Indiana, something head coach Brad Underwood explained was partially due to a lack of rest over the past 19 days. The Illini finally got their break, though, over the past few days. They'll be rested and ready to go at home against the Buckeyes. Illinois is 30th in defensive efficiency and 47th in offensive efficiency, which will be much more apparent against Ohio State than it was against Indiana. Illinois is 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five following a straight-up loss. The Buckeyes could be without forward Zed Key, who sustained a knee injury in the final seconds of Saturday's game. Third on the team in scoring and first in rebounding, OSU needs him at his best in a key Big Ten game. The Buckeyes are 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games after scoring more than 90 points in their previous game.
