Turfway Park - Race #5

#4 Golden Runner	I've been chasing this barn with maidens in this space, and they've come through with a couple super live price runners while landing shares. They've won with route maidens like this in the past, too. I'll bite again.
#8 Dias Alegres	She'll probably take some cash for a tough barn locally, and I like the fact that we can see both of these top two on the tote and track ahead of the Pick-4.
#2 Puffin	Price player might be worth a look for a piece for a team that has slowed a bit after coming out of the gate strong this meet. That said, I'll always give a Street Boss a look on the move to synthetic or turf, so and improved effort here wouldn't surprise me.
Race Summary	#9 Friction can probably do better while getting around two turns for the Cox barn, but I think there are likely to be some more appealing price options. Golden Runner goes first out for a barn that might pop with another big price graduation runner soon.

Turfway Park - Race #6

#4 Casa de Goat	It'll be a pretty strong lean here for me in the late Pick-4, as she's got some sprint pace in a race where I'm not sure too many of them can keep up with her early. Think she might like the shorter trip again here.
#5 Azul Tequila	She went pretty evenly in the comeback run after being away more than a year, so she's got some room to move up in here, and I think she might work out a really trip spying the top choice. Will be on the tickets.
#1 Code For Success	There are a handful of races on her page that make a good bit of sense, but she doesn't have a ton of early speed and might be along too late to land this.
Race Summary	Casa de Goat looks fastest early on, and she might prove a good fit with the locals while trying the footing for the first time. Think she's going to be tough here, but I'll have some backup coverage with Azul Tequila.

Turfway Park - Race #8

#3 Awesome Lawson	She has never been in this cheap, and she's got really reliable tactical finishing form that tends to give her the jump on the deep closers. Takes aim into the stretch and scores?
#10 Cast No Stones	She just missed in the local debut last out and now goes for the new team, but her form isn't all that reliable, so I wouldn't be too excited to land here at a short price in hopes she'll run all the way back to it.
#5 Star of Shanghai	She got back to the right kind of level when facing similar again last out, and I think she's got a baseline effort she figures to run to again here that might be enough for a piece.
Race Summary	Awesome Lawson should get a good race flow in here while tracking the splits, and this softer crew gives her a real chance to pounce and go clear.

#8 MUNDO MIX (9-2)	Delgado claim is proven miler and delivered a bullet workout last Wednesday.
#1 ROYAL ATTITUDE (7-2)	Drops off the claim, must carry speed a route of ground for the first time.
Race Summary	THE TWINS SNEAKERS recovered from a slow start to finish second on a track that favored wide rallies, but there’s no reason to think he won’t sit a dream trip again with plenty of pace to run at. He figures tough in his seasonal debut despite a winless 2022 season. Bet to win and place and play a 1-5-8 exacta box.

Gulfstream Park - Race #6

#2 THE BIG GREY (8-1)	Right set-up, right price, solid numbers despite winless mark at one mile.
#6 BRASSTOWN (4-1)	Takes magnified class drop at proven distance, barn excels with these types.
#4 MAN ON THE MOON (9-2)	Returns to level of claim and last victory, re-united with Saez.
Race Summary	THE BIG GREY rallied to win at Saratoga in the fall and earned competitive speed figures in a pair of more recent one-mile tests on the Gulfstream Park main track. He should get a lively pace to rally into and is worth a win and place bet at 8-1 on the morning line.

Gulfstream Park - Race #9

#6 EMIRATES AFFAIR (8-1)	Prominent until stretch closers arrived, price shot with Oritz taking mount.
#1 WICKED MERCURY (3-1)	Troubled second to morning-line fave in today’s race, use in all gimmicks.
#3 SHES THE NORTH (5-2)	In top form, seeks third win in a row, but she’s 0-5 at this distance.
Race Summary	EMIRATES AFFAIR was ‘keen’ early while prompting a solid pace 4-wide. She was outrun late after being asked for run into the stretch. She’s 0-for-10 on the grass but lures Irad Ortiz Jr. to ride at a big price. Bet to win and place.

1st race – (6) Buc N Beauty was third in her debut and should enjoy the shorter distance here. (3) Royal Blood debuts with Irad and seems well-meant. (8) Collect a Lil is another firster who should be considered a threat. (9) Tinkatwo finds a good spot for her debut. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-6-8-9.
3rd race – (4) Pink Party Pants takes a big class drop but looks best here. (8) Avatal Hero also looks dangerous at this level. (3) St. Joe Jet could be tough to catch in this field. (1) Jazzy Jas might make some noise in her debut. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-4-8.
5th race – (1) Downton Tabby (C) dropped from even money to 1-2 and won easily. Can make it two in a row off the D’Angelo claim. (6) Hot Bode was second at this level and looks like the one to fear. (5) Kestenna should be a stretch threat in this spot. (8) Perfect Kimberly S has enough speed to be a contender. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-5-6-8.
7th race – (5) Pegs A.K. Girl flashed some speed last time and should be helped by a shorter distance here. (3) Union Dolly will appreciate the return to turf. (1) Lay the Groundwork will benefit from a rail trip. (2) Sals Dream Girl should pose a big threat in the stretch. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3-5. Doubles: 1-2-3-5 with 2-3-4-7.
8th race – (2) Munnys Gold won by a pole in debut at Monmouth and will be hard to beat here. (4) Defended has enough speed to be a factor throughout. Looking at today's class rating, this racer is encountering an easier group than last time out at Gulfstream Park. I believe this thoroughbred will be right there at the wire. Gets Lasix for the second time, so Sano must have confidence in her. HIHELLOHOWAREYOU - Filly has shown some speed. This shorter trip should be better for her. This jockey and conditioner have a high winning percentage together. That recent bullet 47.8 work shows that this filly is ready for a top performance today. Going on Lasix for the first time. While a typical handicapping angle, it's still quite important to know.

My choice in this race is MIDNIGHT WARSHIP. Could provide positive returns based on very good recent speed figs with an average of 77. Will probably be one of the early speedsters of the group going into the halfway point of the race. With a solid 83 speed figure last time out, will unquestionably be a factor in this contest. DOUGS MORNING PICK - Should expect a strong effort with the class drop. He has quite good class ratings, averaging 79, and has to be carefully examined for this event. NEBULOSA - When a handler brings any pony back this quickly it is a positive signal. Has raced solidly in dirt sprint races.

EPIC QUEEN - Early zip is always important in horse racing, but the lone speed horse is always dangerous. PARISIAN VIBE - A win percentage like 30 is terrific for any rider/handler duo. Ferrer comes to ride after getting to know the filly in the last race. Sacco has an 'uncoupled' entry here. Best to watch out for the longer priced half. ALEXA'S DREAM - This filly is back in a race very quick. This is a great angle - Sprinters that come back in less than 10 days after a race. A good sign of a sharp and ready racehorse. Have to like this filly today. If you take a look at her PP lines you see a definite pattern, getting closer with each and every race. Have to give this filly a fair chance. Ran a sharp effort last time around the track within the last month.

HAPPY RIDE - Usually I need a sprinter to have some recent success in sprint affairs in order to back her.

Georgia has the ability to put up big point totals but they have their work cut out for them here when it comes to getting things down offensively against Tennessee. The Volunteers are extremely stingy on the defensive end of the floor, allowing more than 65 points just once in their last eight games entering this one. Tennessee has very good depth in their rotation as they have five guys averaging in double figures this season, so it could be any one of a handful of guys that could go for 20-plus points on any given night. Georgia doesn’t have that kind of weaponry to lean on as they rely mainly on Oquendo and Roberts on that end of the floor. Look for Tennessee to clamp down defensively and earn the home win here
