FREE: Belmont Selections Wednesday 8th February
      By Rylie Morgan

Race 1 – 1:09PM FREE ENTRY TO BELMONT PARK HANDICAP (1650 METRES)

      1. Megami – 5. Ihts Closing Inn – 6. She’s Fit – 3. Another Chino

      Race 2 – 1:44PM QUAYCLEAN MAIDEN (1000 METRES)

      11. Just So Sassy – 5. Too Dardy – 1. Dragonflies – 8. Supportive

Too Dardy was terrific on debut over 1200m when just edged out late by La Dette in a maiden run 4.5L faster than class average. He was very tough how strong he fought on after punching the breeze throughout, just a slight query for me on where he maps here from an awkward alley and the drop back in trip to the 1000m, but if Brandon Louis can jam him in or cross them, he’s a great winning chance.

Just So Sassy hasn’t yet put it all together on the race track in 3 career starts but her most recent 400m jumpout was one of the fastest display of speeds seen at the trials in many years. Looks to have come back a much better 3yo, can kick through to lead them here from barrier 4 and over the short course, she could prove very hard to run down.

      Race 3 – 2:19PM SEACORP HANDICAP (1000 METRES)

      3. Wednesday – 2. Regal Access – 1. Ruuca – 5. Prince Amongst Men

      Wednesday

Wednesday has been a while between drinks but thought her last start effort in a Saturday 66+ was terrific. Savaged the line late into 3rd in the best L200m split of the entire meeting beaten only 1.5L Metallon, who looks to be a very talented, progressive sprinter. Drops back into a CL3 and back to Belmont where she does her best racing, lobs 3 back the fence with a cutaway on offer in the straight. This is her best chance in a while to break through again, keen on her.

      2 Units WIN

Regal Access is still very much untapped. Only a maiden and a CL1 winner, but was able to put them away the last time we saw him with authority from barrier 12 carrying 60kgs with the 2nd and 3rd horses both since performing well in 3yo company, franking the strength of the win. Hasn’t had a trial leading in but can lead them here from the inside draw and be in front for a long way for the Pontiff. Very talented and raw.

Ruuca has a horror draw to contend with but performed admirably in a Saturday 72+ 1st up when beaten 4.7L Halatorion. This is a sharp step back in grade and trialled up super prior to that 1st up effort, should have taken plenty of benefit out of that.

      Race 4 – 2:54PM AMELIA PARK HANDICAP (2100 METRES)

      8. Masaru – 1. Luke’s Pierro – 3. Comealilbitcloser – 5. Sanaa

      Masaru

Masaru was unlucky not to pick up Django Dream late last start when really diving through late to just miss. Very consistent type who is showing she can sit a pair or two closer this prep than we have become accustomed to. Drawn beautifully here, if she can utilise the barrier and settle in the first 7-8 in running, she’s going to be hard to hold out late.

      1 Unit WIN

Luke’s Pierro comes through the same race and despite not being suited whatsoever by how the track was playing on the day, was still backed as if he was unbeatable into $2.25. Was never a hope from where he settled and without a cart into the race. Gets a 3kg swing on Masaru after Gaerth’s claim here and while he is likely to get a long way back again, with some luck and a tow into the race he can certainly bounce back, his two efforts prior to last start were super.

Comealilbitcloser is a perennial bridesmaid but comes through a very strongly run Saturday staying contest which was taken out by a horse at triple figure odds with the tempo they set leaving the vast majority of them out on their feet late. He whacked away well there, just lacks a killer blow.

Race 5 -3:34PM TABTOUCH – HAVE YOU GOT THE TOUCH HANDICAP (1650 METRES)

      2. Eee Pee Cee – 1. Solid Gold – 6. Singleton Park – 8. Divine Quest

      Eee Pee Cee

Eee Pee Cee was terrific last start when punching the breeze throughout behind Megami. Stepped up from a maiden win to a 0MW and more than held his own in a strong race run almost 4L faster than average. Kicks through from barrier 1 here to hold a position and with that soft run should prove very hard to beat back into a CL3. Like him.

      2.5 Units WIN

Solid Gold takes a little while to wind up but looks like he can lob in a lovely spot here and keep Eee Pee Cee within his sights. Was only just getting wound up over the last 100m at Pinjarra last start over 1500m so the step up to the 1650m should very much suit, going well.
Singleton Park has raced predominately in Saturday company since crossing West to Bruce Kay and has more than held his own. Drops back to a midweek CL3 and the Blinkers go on, wouldn’t surprise to see him run a very good race.

Divine Quest comes through a winner producing race and never really got a crack at them in the straight. Will get a long way back again here from the gate but has come back in really good knick and if they are running on, will be hitting the line hardest late.

      Race 6 – 4:15PM COOL RIDGE HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

      3. Trevello – 6. Aiyza – 2. Snippy Miss – 8. Sneaky Fox

Trevello looks the one with Pike taking the ride here. 3 back put on a galloping exhibition in an Albany 58+ before more than holding his own beaten under 4L into 4th in the Mungrup Sprint at Mt Barker behind Cheval De Vaga, River Rubicon (won again since) and Kohli. Stepped up to 1500m last start, got a mile off them and just didn’t see it out. Back to 1400m here, Pike jumps aboard from a soft draw with a cutaway on offer to him, he can bounce back.

Aiyza just didn’t see out the mile last start in a Saturday 60+. Back to 1400m here a huge tick and all the 3yo form around her from starts prior is super for a race of this nature. If Holly can get her across into a prominent position without doing too much work, she is going to be very hard to beat.
      Race 7 – 4:52PM DRUMMOND GOLF HANDICAP (1300 METRES)

      9. Vonsnip – 5. Red Orca – 6. Digital Miss – 12. Fortune’s Luck
      Race 8 – 5:32PM DEVIL’S LAIR HANDICAP (1300 METRES)

      8. Deetea – 2. Starring Knight – 10. La Dette – 7. Awesome Rival

      Deetea

Deetea has been really hitting the line strongly in much better company than this at her past few starts. Looks ready for the rise to 1300m now, drops sharply back in grade from 3yo grade to a CL1 and gets William Pike in the saddle who has rode the winner of the final race on the program at the last 5 meetings he has ridden at, can he go 6/6? In some remarkable form and is quite simply, putting on a clinic.

      1.7 Units WIN

      Starring Knight

Starring Knight was a trial under heavyweight hoop Alan Kennedy I instantly black-booked recently. Very stylish hit-out and the 2nd horse from the trial Stellar Vista came out on Sunday and almost beat one of the form sprinters of the state Halatorion 1st up. Still very lightly raced, drawn for a soft run and interesting what the market does with him. May be a run too early but don’t want to let him go around without any of mine.

      0.8 Units WIN

La Dette was a nice win to break her maiden and posted a strong figure too. Will get a good line through that form with Too Dardy earlier in the card and Sizzle Me Patrick since bolting in on Monday who was back there in 3rd. Maps a treat, can go on with it now.

Awesome Rival put in a blinder 1st up but has always been a real tease. Potentially sticky little draw for Chris Parnham to navigate, particularly if she is slow to leave the machines again.
      Staking Plan

Race 3 Wednesday 2 Units WIN
Race 4 Masaru 1 Unit WIN
Race 5 Eee Pee Cee 2.5 Units WIN
Race 8 Deetea 1.7 Units WIN/Starring Knight 0.8 Units WIN

      8 Units Staked.

Race 9: #3 Encountered, #5 Sight Spirit, #6 All Beauty, #2 Viva Chaleur

:: Hong Kong: Free PPs, picks, analysis, replays, and live streaming

          Race 1: Yuk Sau Handicap

#5 Super Hornet is still without a win. He gets one of his better opportunities here and even from the wide draw, chances are he rolls forward to lead. He could take catching under Lyle Hewitson. #12 Foxhunter Way maps to get the dream run just in behind the pace. He can save ground – which he needs to do – and get his chance. #4 Charizard has been doing well in the grade above. He’s suited to Class 5 and he gets his shot here. #2 Flash Famous only needs to offset the wide draw to be a factor. Keep safe.

          Race 2: Yik Yam Handicap

#1 Lucky Diamond’s last two runs in Class 4 over this course and distance have returned wins. Expect he rolls forward to lead here and, just like previously, prove difficult to catch. #12 Reach Goal is coming to hand. He’s had several difficult runs in transit across recent outings and a few favours should spark improvement. He can win if he gets those. #6 Happy Angel brings the right form. Strong booking of Zac Purton warrants consideration. #11 Tycoon Jewellery mixes his form. His best could see him figure.

          Race 3: Wang Tak Handicap

#4 Telecom Speed should improve having his second run in Class 4 this week. He’s shown his capabilities – especially in the grade above – and he shapes to get one of his best chances yet from gate four with Hugh Bowman up. #6 Classic Posh should relish this grade. He does his best racing at Happy Valley, so improvement is expected. #7 Allgreektome should receive a sweet run throughout from barrier three. He can test this lot. #8 Prime Mortar won well last start. He’s in the right vein of form.

          Race 4: King Kwong Handicap

#2 California Deeply has hit the ground running in Hong Kong. He’s in superb form and is capable of adding a third win to his already impressive record. He’s talented and appears destined for bigger things. #9 Super Commander could roll forward and press for the lead. He slots in light and chances are he’s the one they’re all trying to reel in. Take an each way ticket. #4 Heroic Master has mixed his form but clearly has ability. #3 Special M is consistent and once again will get an opportunity.

          Race 5: Village Handicap

#4 Pachisi arguably should have won on debut. Nevertheless he can take a key step forward here and he’s the one they have to beat. He has talent and class. #7 E Universe caught the eye in a recent trial at Happy Valley. He reared up as the gates opened but still managed to weave through the field impressively. #5 Cheer For The South makes his debut. He appears forward enough to make his presence felt first-up, especially with Zac Purton electing to ride. #2 Forte has claims. Next best.

          Race 6: Sing Woo Handicap

#1 Street Scream is in career-best form this season. He was without luck when it mattered last start but he looks well placed to atone for that effort here. He can win again this term. #8 Humble Star is looking to offset the wide draw. He has the class and his best is up to this group. #3 Beauty Tycoon has three wins from his last five starts. He only needs to offset the draw to be a factor again. #9 Xponential is well weighted and has the services of Silvestre de Sousa. Gets his chance. Keep safe.

          Race 7: Shan Kwong Handicap

#5 Packing Award is in supreme form and his class should carry him a long way here. He is a seriously talented horse who managed to place at Group 3 level last time out and, a return to his optimum distance, will prove crucial. #11 Nearly Fine is a Happy Valley specialist. He’s holding his condition and pairs favourably with Silvestre de Sousa. #7 Beauty Live is on the rapid improve. His last two runs have been nothing short of impressive. #3 Cheerful Days mixes his form but does have plenty of class. Next best.

          Race 8: Blue Pool Handicap

#5 Rewarding Together is in superb form after placing at Group 3 level last start. His good fortune can carry on here with an ideal draw which should see him earn a sweet run throughout for Silvestre de Sousa. #4 Campione can return to form getting around a bend. Expect he positions close to the speed with Angus Chung’s 10lb apprentice claim in use. #9 Family Folks has claims and will carry a light weight from an ideal barrier. #6 Handsome Bo Bo is after back-to-back wins. He’ll be running home late.

          Race 9: Tsui Man Handicap

#3 Encountered is chasing a hat-trick of wins. He’s drawn well here which should afford him a comfortable position close to the speed and from there, he should take running down. Silvestre de Sousa rides once more as this horse chases points for a BMW Hong Kong Derby start. #5 Sight Spirit is unlucky not to be a winner already this term. This is a suitable grade and his pairing with Zac Purton commands respect. #6 All Beauty has an ideal draw. He can continue his rise. #2 Viva Chaleur has a sharp turn of foot. Keep safe.

            Wednesday’s Eagle Farm best bets & quaddie | February 8, 2023

Where Eagle Farm Racecourse – 230 Lancaster Rd, Ascot QLD 4007
            When Wednesday, February 8, 2023
            First Race 1:08pm AEST

            Visit Ladbrokes

The Brisbane Racing Club will host its second meeting at Eagle Farm Racecourse in five days, after the Saturday metropolitan meeting was held there last weekend. On Wednesday, the club will host another competitive nine-race program. The track is currently rated a Good 4, and with warm weather forecast to continue on Tuesday and Wednesday, we should be kicking off on a Good track on race day. The rail will go out from the true position from Saturday to the +8m position for the entire circuit for Wednesday. The first race of the day will jump at 1:08pm AEST.
Best Bet at Eagle Farm: Morethannumberone

The second race of the day will feature a small field of runners in a Class 5 Plate over 1300m, where we will be siding with the Annabel Neasham-trained Morethannumberone, who will be returning from a four-month spell. This six-year-old gelding has been given a nice trial at Hawkesbury over 1000m on January 24 in the lead-up to this first-up start at Eagle Farm on Wednesday. Last campaign didn’t see very much success for this son of More Than Ready as he only recorded one win and two placings from his seven starts, with his one win coming at the Sunshine Coast over 1400m back on June 12 last year. However, this gelding looks to have come back really well this preparation after winning his trial but just over half a length, under very little riding powering home in the final 300m. Samantha Collett has only been aboard this guy once before, which was the last time he won. From barrier five, he will most likely drop toward the back of the field and look to run on and if he gets even luck, he will go very close to breaking his winning drought.
            Best Bet

            Race 2 – Silks#3 Morethannumberone (5)

            6yo Gelding | T: Annabel Neasham | J: Samantha Collett (59kg)

            $4.60 with Palmerbet
Next Best at Eagle Farm: Nashira

After finishing second at his last three starts, Nashira from the Steven O’Dea & Matthew Hoysted yard looks to have found the race where he can break his run of outs and record his first win of the preparation. This four-year-old gelding was very unlucky last start where he got too far back and didn’t get a lot of luck on the fence, before flashing home to go down by the barest of margins as a long odds-on favourite at Doomben over 1050m on January 25. Two starts back this son of Zoustar finished half a length behind King Kapa who has gone onto win his next two starts by massive margins and is the boom horse in Queensland racing, after winning at Eagle Farm on Saturday by 3.5 lengths. From barrier seven, Ben Thompson should be able to keep this guy out of trouble and let him build into the race nicely and run home strong down the outside of the field. Now that he is fourth-up and gets Thompson back in the saddle, we should see this gelding return to the winners’ circle on Wednesday.

Next Best Again at Eagle Farm: Bronze Dragon

Our value play of the day will come up in the first leg of the quaddie, where the Billy Healey-trained Bronze Dragon will be attempting to break his maiden at his ninth career start. On Wednesday, this son of All Too Hard will be second-up for this campaign after finishing as the runner-up when first-up at Doomben over 1110m on January 25. This four-year-old gelding has finished in the placings at six of his eight starts to date, with three of them coming at the 1200m. On Wednesday, Healey will bring his gelding to Eagle Farm for the first time and the bigger and longer straight is expected to be a positive for him. Justin Huxtable will stick after riding him last start and now that he is second-up and fitter, we should see a very good performance and see him break through for his maiden victory.

Racing heads to Warwick Farm Racecourse on Wednesday afternoon for a competitive seven-race program set down for decision. The track is currently listed as a Good 4; however, there is some light rain expected in the lead up to race-day, so there’s a slight possibility we end up on a Soft 5 surface. The rail is moved out +3m the entire circuit for the meeting which could see runners up on speed find it a little bit more favourable. The first race is scheduled to get underway at 2:20pm AEDT.
Best Bet at Warwick Farm: Handsome

Handsome is trained out of the Kris Lees yard and looks ready to be peaking over a more suitable trip this preparation. This European import has had three Australian starts and secured his first win at the country races at Taree producing a dominant effort against very moderate opposition. He won by a staggering 8 lengths on the line and was only going away form his rivals that day and while it was clearly a soft Class 1 & Maiden grade kill, it was still impressive to the eye and clock. He then found himself in Saturday company behind Thalassophile at Rosehill on January 28, getting well out of his ground powering to the line to go down 3.3 lengths. It was an effort that suggested this son of Kodiac will only get better with more distance to travel, so the 2200m here looks ideal to see Handsome peak for a third career victory. Our confidence is only solidified with the booking of James McDonald on Wednesday and from barrier four should be finding a perfect run in the top half of the field to score.

Next Best at Warwick Farm: Lomandra

We’re taking Lomandra on trust here for the Hawkes team on Wednesday afternoon, as her debut performance was simply too bad to be true. She had her debut performance at Caulfield in the Quezette Stakes on August 13 and was very disappointing after her barrier trials suggested she was wound up nicely to produce and strong effort. The market suggested she would run boldly as well, going $26 into $15 with online Bookmakers on that occasion. We’re going to say it was more of an instances of not running well on that way of racing, with all her trials coming in Sydney running on clockwise circuits. She’s first up now after a 178-day spell with another eye-catching barrier trial effort at Rosehill indicating she’s ready to go here. The clear danger in this race to us in the top weight – Perielle – for team Godolphin; however, with a 4kg swing on our key rival and a better price to boot, we’re willing to take a chance on this daughter of Not A Single Doubt.

Best Value at Warwick Farm: Sunrise Ruby

Sunrise Ruby makes her return to racing on Wednesday afternoon and look a great bet in a competitive BM72 for the mares. Her form from last preparation jumps off the page with the highlight being an attempt at Listed level behind Meg in the Mona Lisa Stakes on September 2. She run around mid-field 2.5 lengths off the eventual winner and then disappointed subsequently in a small field at Warwick Farm on October 3. We put that effort down to the small field and lack of tempo over the 1400m. She’s now first-up after a tick-over trial at Wagga Wagga on February 1 and looks to be fit and ready to make a statement on return. With five starts for two wins and another minor placing when resuming, Sunrise Ruby is always best to find when fresh and she gets a perfect set up on Wednesday. Tyler Schiller takes the reins and with Sunrise Ruby only giving 4.5kg to the bottom weight, looks a cracking each-way bet.

Hong Kong racing heads back to Happy Valley on Wednesday afternoon for a strong nine-race program. We come off an amazing Sunday at Sha Tin with Lucky Sweynesse showing his star quality in the Group 1 Centenary Sprint Cup and Senor Toba finding success in the Group 3 Centenary Vase.

We should be in for stunning conditions on Wednesday evening with zero rain in sight for race night. The rail is moved out to the B course for the program and should see horse more towards the speed finding some minor favours if tempo allows. The first race gets underway at 6:45pm HKT (9:45pm AEDT).
Best Bet at Happy Valley: Allgreektome

Allgreektome looks to be a Happy Valley horse based on his three performances so far in Hong Kong, with his best of the three efforts coming at this course and distance on December 7. James McDonald rode him that night and sat outside the leader from a wide draw to kick clear and only be chased down by noted improver Gold Gold Baby to be beaten just over a length on the line. He then went to Sha Tin and looked to be travelling nicely over the 1200m before falling back plainly into the rear of the field. He’s had a lovely barrier trial since between runs at Happy Valley and beat home Class 1 hopeful later in the night – Nervous Witness – without any riding at all with Zac Purton aboard. He looks to be back on track for trainer David Hayes who has found a nice race for him to jump, kick up and lead, adopting similar tactics to his effort last time at Happy Valley. The booking of Zac Purton means we may have to take a tax with the price from online Bookmakers; however, we think it’ll be worth it for the progressive Allgreektome.

Next Best at Happy Valley: California Deeply

California Deeply is unfortunate not to be looking for four wins on the trot after just missing last start behind Pretty Queen Prawn at this course and distance on January 18. He found trouble checking off heels and was beaten a neck on the winning post. Prior to that he was an eye catching winner on two occasions at Happy Valley from the rear of the field to storm past his rivals to score nicely. Matthew Chadwick knows this horse well with two previous efforts on this gelding by Deep Field with one resulting in his maiden victory at big odds. He’s a get back horse which would traditionally put us off a galloper like him at Happy Valley; however, his class looks to outshine that negative and in a race with plenty of tempo on paper, California Deeply should be set to launch at his opposition late to win again.

Next Best Again at Happy Valley: Street Scream

Street Scream would’ve found everyone’s blackbook after his Class 2 performances on November 30 and then on January 11, the latter being a clear forgive. He missed the start significantly over the unsuitable 1000m and had no chance turning for home but had the audacity to sprint home powerfully into fifth position just under two-lengths off Handsome Bo Bo. He now comes back into Class 3 where he had three wins in a row, all of them in relatively dominant fashion. This Street Boss gelding has been well placed by trainer Tony Cruz and should be going very close again with an ideal drawn to boot. If Vincent Ho can get Street Scream to jump this time, his class should come to the floor and find the winners enclosure for the sixth time in his career.

Best Value at Happy Valley: Cheer For South

Keep an eye on the opening price for this first starter by the name of Cheer For South. We’re hopeful this unraced gelding by Deep Field can sneak under the radar of online betting sites when markets open. His barrier trials have been terrific in particular his latest at Happy Valle on January 28. He pinged the lids and was hard held going to the line in that jump out and looks very fit with three total trials under his belt. We get Zac Purton on board and we expect him to produce a similar pattern to the trial efforts. He’ll jump from the wide barrier and cut across to the rail and if he’s got anything left in the tank first-up kick away from his opposition.

Belmont Race 5 #2 Eee Pee Cee $2.90

This 4YO son of So You Think has been in great form this preparation, having yet to miss a placing and he looks a strong chance to add another win to the campaign here.

He ran into a handy one in Megami last start, who is expected to win again in race 2 on the program as a short-priced favourite. He also cruised to victory in his maiden two back.

He's come up with barrier 1 for this assignment, which looks key given jockey Chris Parnham will be able to find the front in a race which lacks early speed.

Barriers 1-3 are very advantageous at Belmont when the rail is between the 8-11m position, which adds further strength to the winning claims here for this gelding.

There's little winning chances in the race and he will prove tough to run down.

                  Moe Race 3 #9 Humming $1.80

This filly from the Kent yard was purchased for $1.95m and has showed plenty of talent at the jump outs.

She finished 2nd to the ruthless Dame and ahead of well performed gallopers including Fortune Teller and Greece, after travelling very wide throughout.

Her 2nd jump out was equally as impressive and she looks above average.

Looks very hard to beat here and set to make a winning debut to start repaying that big price tag back!

(6) Benkei should control the pace and may not look back here. (4) Border War has the kind of closing kick that could be effective at this distance. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-5-6-7.

7th race – (2) Best Seller was second last time out and will appreciate a cutback in distance. (5) Wheelingndealing seeks a third straight win and should be the main rival. (4) Anotherdaygoneby has been no worse than third in six of her last seven starts and can make her presence felt. (8) Black Belt Barbie has enough speed to be a factor throughout. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5-8. Doubles: 2-4-5-8 with 2-3-7-8.

8th race – (7) Over the Channel won nicely last time and can reach the winner’s circle again off the Walder claim. Picks Notes
#8 Cupids Payday She's a little bit of a swing here, but she will race with Lasix for the first time with the kind of tactical pace that might put her in a good spot behind a potentially contested pace. Think she's interesting at a playable price.
#13 Tiz Susan Ann She's the first on the also-eligibles list, and she earned this rise with a sharp win against cheaper when getting back over this footing last time out. Price chance to include if she goes?
#1 Her World She has a right to be tough with her best stuff, but I worry she's in for a tricky trip from the fence with these while trying to show a little bit of pace. Hits hard if she works out a sweet pocket trip.
Race Summary Cupids Payday steps up off a pair of good Churchill efforts last year, and she can settle off the speed a bit here while trying the local footing for the first time at a decent price. Tiz Susan Ann is another interesting price alternative if she gets in.

                            Picks Notes
#2 Sixth Street She's a good fit here after last being seen in a few turf races in New York, and I think the race flow flatters her ability to show just a bit of speed. The one to beat while in touch throughout.
#7 Most Empressive Her local debut wasn't much, but it also came off a nearly four-month break, so maybe she has some upside in this one. So far turf has been her best game, but she might still have some upside here.
#6 Shemademeblush She steps up into special weight company after showing some tactical pace and staying on last time out, and there isn't a ton of serious pace signed on, so maybe she sticks around on the rise.
Race Summary Sixth Street already owns a couple efforts that might be good enough to land this, and she has a right to be pretty tough in here if she can fire off the September layoff over the new footing.

                            Picks Notes
#14 Mo Divine She'll need some scratch help to get in here, but she took a nice step forward in her local debut when getting around two turns for the first time, and she figures to offer another fair price despite the improved try if she heads to post.
#9 Thestral She's not a creative choice in the main body, but I really liked her local debut, and there isn't a ton of serious pace signed on, potentially leaving her in line for a great trip throughout.
#11 Time to Race She caught an easy winner last time out, but her form has been pretty reliable and slowly moving in the right direction, and her baseline effort keeps her in the mix here.
Race Summary Mo Divine is worth a mid-range price look if she's able to get in, but it's Thestral who seems like a logical player to win this on form and race shape.

#2 NO DELIBERATION (5-2) Starts fresh, gets Lasix, can return dividend on Delgado re-claim.
#6 RAKA RAKA CRUZ (7-2) Ran up on heels at 1/8th pole, steadied, couldn’t recover in time.
#5 DARKDESERTHIGHWAY (2-1) Dueled on a short mid-stretch lead, got caught by a deep closer.
Race Summary NO DELIBERATION set the pace before tiring at 7F two starts back, then chased the 9-5 winner while 4-wide last out and finished third. Race runner-up Carolina Traffic was a beaten, albeit troubled, favorite in his next start. Bet to win and place and play a 2-6-ALL trifecta.

#6 BOTITA (8-5) Runs for half of her debut claiming tag, should live up to favoritism off claim.
                              #2 QUICKSTYLE (10-1) Dam of this first-time starter was 9-for-33 and a $192k earner.
#8 SISTREN (3-1) Continued to burn money by unseating Saez at the break, gets second-time Lasix.
Race Summary BOTITA stalked the pace 4-wide and got up for third behind the class-dropping winner and the favorite. She adds blinkers on the class drop and has little to beat with a move forward in her second start. Play 6-2 and 6-8 exactas.

#5 WALKS LIKE A LADY (4-1) Overland journey took its toll on class hike, solid gain two back at 5F.
#7 NOBLE DREAMER (3-1) Bumpy start, ranged up 6-wide, drifted to finish second off 17-month layoff.
#8 TEMPORA (5-2) Broke maiden at this distance at GP, cuts back off grass route races.
Race Summary WALKS LIKE A LADY lost ground throughout as the beaten favorite at 5F after she burst late to finish second at a lower claiming level in the race prior. She should work out a good stalking trip and the extra half-furlong could make the difference. Bet to win and place.
