MIDNIGHT FAVORITE - Esquivel and Cowans perform well when they are put together. Not easy to best a win percent of 38. It's a big plus that this 1st timer has been working over the same track that she makes her debut at today. A solid handicapping angle is Lasix for the first time. Cowans gives it to this one for this race. THREE SPORT COATS - Jockey jumped on this filly's back for the 1st time on January 5th. Should know the horse even better in today's contest. I always like to see a filly getting Lasix for the second time. This one fits the bill. MALLY'S MONSOON - This horse earns a lot of cash per race around the track. I believe she can add to that total in this race. A repeat of that last performance on January 13th where she garnered a speed rating of 73 looks strong enough to win in this race. Can't help but like the 2nd time addition of Lasix by the trainer today. A pretty good sign Kenneally thinks she can win.

SCOOP THERE IT IS - This low class level horse may have a tough time rebounding off of two relentless stretch runs. MON PARADIS - Hard to put any money on this mare on the win end. Likes to finish in the money though. Common rating in the last race at Mahoning Valley Race Cour at 1 mile. Don't think this vulnerable equine will improve too much today. TALK DIRTY - You always figure that this horse has a shot to win, but she falls short most every time. The speed rating last out doesn't fit very well in this event when I look at the Equibase class figure of today's contest. Mark this animal as a possibly overvalued contestant.
