We'll fade the Wizards off their blowout win in Portland two nights ago as they head to Minnesota to wrap up proceedings prior to the All-Star break on Thursday. Washington has shot the lights out over its last four games, fortunate to do so as the shot volume just hasn't been there. The Wizards have gotten off just 84 or fewer field goal attempts in six of their last seven games overall and haven't hoisted up more than 88 shot attempts since back on January 25th in Houston. They could be in tough if the shots aren't falling on Thursday, noting that the Timberwolves are a better defensive team than you might expect here at home, having held four of their last six opponents to 38 or fewer made field goals here in the Twin Cities. Like the Wizards, the T'Wolves have been sharp-shooters lately, knocking down 40 or more field goals in an incredible 12 straight contests. I do think we'll see them push the pace a little more back at home and it's worth noting that they've gotten off 87 or more FG attempts in six of their last eight games overall. That type of shot volume should pay dividends against an inconsistent Wizards defense that has allowed six of its last eight opponents to make good on at least 42 field goals. Take Minnesota.
