SCORSESE - Have to like the way Zielinski has raced this gelding back into shape off the layoff. Horse is well spotted in this sprint and I think he'll run well today. REINSURE - The morning line odds on this gelding are higher than those of the other entrant from the shedrow of handler Zielinski. Often the longer-priced part of a 'split' entry wins. When a thoroughbred drops at least 5 lbs (like this one is), you must take notice. It may not seem like much, but should be helpful.

OVER THE HILLS - No favorable outcomes for this racer in a short distance race over the last couple months tells me that this gelding is in a thorny situation The finish position of seventh in the last race shows me that this equine may be going off form. STRIKE A BEAT - Finished first in his most recent race with a mediocre speed rating. When I look at today's class figure, it would take an improved performance to triumph after that in this field. This horse will probably bounce off of the last strong outing. NOT A GAME - The speed figs are going downward. I'm not playing this horse off of that trend. Will be tough for this mount to beat this group off of that last speed fig. Not probable to improve enough to run a figure close enough to today's Equibase class figure, so put him on the likely underlays list.

OVERTHOUGHT - I look for this horse to sit chilly and make a strong move on the turn, cruising straight on to the finish line. Winless in his last three starts, this gelding's last win came on December 11th at the same level and distance of today's race. Getting a weight break of 5 pounds from last race at Fair Grounds on February 10th. Its possible this could make the difference in this event. EAST LEX - My handicapping intuition tells me to be ready for this horse in this contest ARCTIC ROSE - Look at this gelding's PP lines. With each contest he keeps getting closer. When Murrill and Schwandt work together on horses the ROI has been fabulous at +63. That 78 fig this gelding earned in his last event tells me he's a major player this time out. This gelding is in good condition, having run a nice race on Feb 21st, finishing first.

HIGH VIBES - Will probably come out strong - I have liked the way this filly has moved swiftly to the lead recently. The Equibase Speed Fig of 78 from her last contest looks solid in here. BUILT DIFFERENT - Is worth considering and may be a wager - strong Equibase Speed Figures (77 average) at today's distance and surface recently. Boasts solid Equibase speed figs on average overall when matched with the rest of this group of horses.
