ABHAILE - Lone speed horses can be tough to run down. Here's a lone speedy sort facing sluggish sorts today. Romero drops her down to this level. You don't need too much more handicapping information to think this horse is in a good spot at this level. Last time around the track, finished fifth on a sloppy track at Parx Racing. Have to give a better effort in this event. BEATUBYACHUBINOSE - This horse's last race was out at Laurel in a race with an Equibase class figure of 67. Dropping significantly in Equibase class figure in today's event puts her in a solid position in today's race. This pony coming off a nice contest in the last thirty days is a win candidate in my book. MANI PEDI - The February 7th race at Parx Racing was at a class level of (67). Dropping to a lower level considerably, so she should be in a good position.

Vulnerable Contenders: #5 CANOOCHEE (ML=9/2), #3 ELUSIVE RYDER (ML=9/2), #1 VALERIE FIRST (ML=5/1),

CANOOCHEE - This animal doesn't have a champion's mental state. Always finishes in the place and show spots. ELUSIVE RYDER - Based on the pace scenario in this event, this horse doesn't fit in here. With a single front-runner and this horse having to race from behind, she sure has a tough assignment. VALERIE FIRST - Granted the last race was strong, finishing first. The lack of any recent activity raises some concerns though. Tough to wager on this less than sharp equine running out of the one post. Her pps show that she doesn't run well out of there.

EL MARRO is the most respectable wager in this race especially at a such a nice price. The speed figure of 97 from his last race looks formidable in here. Might go off at a nice number and has some positive angles going for him. FIRST NAVY ADMIRAL - Could provide positive gains based on decent recent Equibase Speed Figures with an average of 79. The winning percentage shown by horses entered by Patterson running at this distance are the strongest in this group. SHANGHAI PRINCE - Could best this field based on the speed figure - 89 - of his last contest. Has to be given consideration against this group displaying quite good figures lately and an average Equibase speed fig of 79 under similar conditions.

I've got to go with SINNIN N GRINNIN. She has been racing admirably recently while recording sharp Equibase Speed Figures. Looks quite good to be on the front end at the first call. The Equibase Speed Figure of 72 from her latest contest looks formidable in here. FIGHTINGTEMPTATION - Shows evidence of the look of a profitable play, averaging a solid 67 Equibase Speed Figure which is one of the best in this group. Williams has one of the most favorable winning percentages in this field with entries running at this distance and surface. LOVELY LOLITA - Posted a sound speed figure in the last race. Can run another good one in this affair. Strong jockey with trainer figs make this horse a very solid selection.

GRANDE RED - In his last race, this gelding showed good speed then fell back before finishing nicely. MY HOMBRE - Batista and Treharne have had fantastic success together over the last twelve months.

INDY CARR - Can't really be sure that the most recent speed rating of 45 is for real since it was garnered on a muddy track. RUNAWAY RUSSELL - Really had to give me a whole lot more last out. Never made much of an impact.
