There is no question that Connecticut has looked super so far and they were very good to us on Thursday. But this is not a good match up for them. On Thursday we said both Arkansas and Connecticut plays good defense but the difference was the Connecticut offense which we said was far superior to Arkansas’ offense. In this match up Connecticut has a better overall defense but offensively Gonzaga is far superior. While Connecticut was enjoying a Blowout Win on Thursday Gonzaga was in a Dogfight which gives them a big edge if this game is tight late as they already have been there and done that. But the big thing that I feel gives Gonzaga a big edge in this match up is having just played UCLA who has a great defense was the best preparation that Gonzaga could have to be ready for this Connecticut defense. Let’s not forget that Gonzaga is a veteran team that has made deep runs before in the Big Dance. Gonzaga was 17-4 SU on the road this year. I’m not sure this isn’t like a home game for Gonzaga as they play in Vegas a lot as the West Coast Conference Tournament is held in Vegas every year and Gonzaga owns that Conference. Historically Gonzaga has fared very well against Big East teams as Gonzaga is 16-4 ATS vs the Big East the L20 meetings. My numbers have Gonzaga winning by 5 or more.
