San Diego State played a lot of top-level teams in their non-conference schedule, which prepared them for the season and got them to where they are tonight. The Aztecs are a physical team that is never out of a game. The line betting tonight is as UConn is a number one seed. The “best teams didn’t even make the final four. The Huskies are the more talented team that can score in many ways. Adama Sanogo is a talented big man; every guard on the court can make shots. Jordan Hawkins went from a bench player a season ago to a superstar. The Aztecs have the defenders to slow down the Huskies’ shooters. UConn can be sloppy, and the Aztec defenders will take advantage. SDSU plays a unique style of team basketball, but Matt Bradley needs to produce tonight for them to have a shot at winning. Look for the game to go down to the wire. Neither team runs a fast-tempo offense, so tonight’s game should be boring until crunch time. I made a goal for us to hit 60% of our tournament games.
