MLB | MIAMI @ N.Y. METS | 04/08 | 4:10 PM EDT
N.Y. METS -143
ANALYSIS: Picking early on this matchup worked well for today's game as we saved $ with NY winning, and I expect this to rise a fair amount by first pitch Saturday. The Mets have had the Marlins' number so far this year in winning four of five -- and that loss was 2-1. Japanese import Kodai Senga was a bit wild in his Mets debut last Sunday in Miami but showed some wicked Ohtani-like pitches in striking out eight over 5.1 innings. Miami's Trevor Rogers lasted only 4.1 innings opposite Senga in the loss.
MLB | N.Y. YANKEES @ BALTIMORE | 04/08 | 7:05 PM EDT
BALTIMORE +1.5 -145
ANALYSIS: The books are going to give us +1.5 on the Orioles again at a very good price when they maybe shouldn't be dogs at all? Absolutely fine by me as it worked out well yesterday. The Yanks will be down one of their key relievers as Jonathan Lo
MLB | KANSAS CITY @ SAN FRANCISCO | 04/08 | 4:05 PM EDT
SAN FRANCISCO -140
ANALYSIS: Kansas City starter Brady Singer makes his first road start of the year, and he is not as effective on the road as he is at home. For his career he is 6-10 with a 4.07 ERA on the road. That includes a 2-3 record with a 3.99 ERA last season. My model says the Giants win 70% of the time, so you're getting strong value at this number.
MLB | MIAMI @ N.Y. METS | 04/08 | 4:10 PM EDT
OVER 7.5 -115
ANALYSIS: This will be the sixth matchup for these two teams against each other this season, yes you read that correctly the sixth...the season started just 10 days ago! The familiarity at the plate should give hitters on both sides a boost, especially the Mets against Marlins' starter Trevor Rogers who is facing New York in his second straight start. In Rogers' last three starts against the Mets he is 0-2 and has given up nine earned runs total. New York is averaging 5.2 runs per game in those five against Miami. But it hasn't all been great for the Mets either...in their last four games there have been 44 runs scored total by both clubs. Long story short, both sides here are volatile and risky, however over 7.5 feels like a cold one in the bleachers.
