MR GYPSY - Kimes comes to ride after getting to know the gelding in the last race. Faced tougher last out at Will Rogers Downs. Based on class ratings, this is a weaker group, so I will put this one on my list of contenders.

Vulnerable Contenders: #1 RAINBOW CREST (ML=9/5), #6 SHINE JACK'S DREAM (ML=2/1), #2 CLEARLY A JET (ML=4/1),

RAINBOW CREST - One should normally not wager on a pony in the next start after finishing off the board following a very long layoff. SHINE JACK'S DREAM - The fifth place finish position in the last event was not the greatest. CLEARLY A JET - Can't invest in this racer in today's sprint of 5 1/2 furlongs. Hasn't even finished in the money in a short distance contest recently. Just can't play this questionable contender. Didn't show me anything positive last time around the track or on February 18th.

My pick in this race is ENCORES FIRST ACT. This racer enters today's competition on Lasix. Will almost certainly come out solid - I have liked the way this gelding has moved rapidly to the front end recently. Is difficult not to examine based on Equibase speed figs which have been very strong - 60 avg - of late. JL QUEEN BLUE - This racer enters today's contest on Lasix. If you look closely, this one has some longshot possibilities. EYEM NOT POLITICAL - The class fig of today's affair is much lower than his last contest. Is worth looking at and may be a wager - strong speed figures (60 average) at today's distance and surface recently.

Can run another good one in this race. Looks competitive for the conditions of this contest today, showing solid figures in dirt route races lately. TEMPLEMAN ALLEY - This gelding has to be given a chance just off the earnings per start in dirt route events alone. Should finish in the money without a doubt. HEZA HANDFUL - Well above average win rate at this distance/surface. He has very good class ratings, averaging 95, and has to be given a chance for this event.

LUNA T - Faced tougher last out at Parx Racing. Based on class ratings, this is a weaker group, so I will put this one on my list of top contenders. Quite frequently, I play a maiden that finished 2nd easily ahead of the third-place horse in her last effort. I look for improvement right here with the addition of Lasix for the second time. UPTOWN CHARLOTTE - After the contest aboard this horse on March 21st, the rider is going to know the filly much better. This front-runner should profit from this contest's shorter trip. Coletti has an 'uncoupled' entry here. Best to be wary of the longer priced half.

Vulnerable Contenders: #1 BACK TO D' FUTURE (ML=3/1), #2 BIONIC KAT (ML=9/2), #6 AZTEC QUEEN (ML=6/1),

BACK TO D' FUTURE - Hasn't hit the board in any short distance races recently. Unlikely to see her doing it this time either. Awfully tough to play this racer when she hasn't been showing any signs of life lately. BIONIC KAT - 9/2 is not worth the risk for any horse in a sprint of 6 furlongs that hasn't finished in the money in a short distance event of late. AZTEC QUEEN - Not likely for this one to do much running with no recent success in a short distance clash. This questionable contender ran a mediocre speed fig last time out. She shouldn't run better and will probably get beat in today's race running that figure.
