Parx Racing - Race #2

#8 Bionic Kat	She showed a bit more promise when trying this level for the first time, and I wonder if she might wind up getting the right kind of trip while prompting the pace from the outside in a spot where they've all got a habit of quitting late.
#3 Three Sport Coats	Never a fan of runners dropping off the claim, but she's here for about half the price from the mid-March Turfway claim. That said, her baseline form makes her tough in here, and she doesn't typically quit as hard as some of the others. Wouldn't surprise.
#1 Now Act Surprised	She drops after a flat try with some trouble last time out, but that was a pretty big step back from the early March comeback race. Tough call, but she makes sense on class.
Race Summary	No real finish in here, so maybe Bionic Kat can get a press-and-pounce type of trip from the outside and outlast these. Three Sport Coats and Now Act Surprised make sense, but neither inspires a ton of confidence at likely underlaid prices.

Parx Racing - Race #4

#1 Street Tail	He'll go third start off the bench for this one while getting into an easier spot than he has seen in a long time, and he might be the most committed forward player from the fence.
#5 Don't Dare Me	He has not been staying well late in recent starts, but he's worth another look at this kind of level with a bit of versatility in his running style, and he might offer a mid-range price here.
#4 Rockin Cowboy	He outran his 22/1 odds when bringing Penn form with him last out, and he should be in line for a really good trip while right up near the splits. Something like the last few would keep him in the mix again.
Race Summary	Street Tail is probably quick enough to lead this group, and he is a real threat to get brave once they turn in if he doesn't take too much pressure early on. There's not a ton of upside left here at age 11, but another move forward today would probably make him a player.

Parx Racing - Race #8

#3 Florianopolis	Take a look at him on the tote and track, but he goes for a team that has won a few similar local races over the last year, and this guy might offer a decent enough price in a race with some pretty good form for the local level.
#6 Marvelousmoondance	He's a pretty reliable finisher who might really like trying this 7-furlong trip, but I couldn't land here with too strong a lean as he heads into his 22nd lifetime start. That said, I think a lot of his recent running lines would make him a pretty serious threat in here.
#5 Viral Video	He outran his odds in both of those last two starts, but he might still offer a decent enough price against another pretty honest group. Not out of the question.
Race Summary	Florianopolis debuts for a capable team, and he's meeting a group in which a few of the more obvious players have had more than their share of chances already. Price might be okay.

#3 STRIKING MOON (6-1)	Spotted field several lengths, loomed boldly at 1/16th pole, second to fave.
#8 MR PETE (6-1)	Classy 8-year-old ran good one off Kreiser claim, nearing $300k in 6F earnings.
#9 CARGO SHIP (6-1)	Claimed out of powerhouse victory, starts off similar rest between starts.
Race Summary	STRIKING MOON, off very slowly on an ‘off’ track, sustained an inside rally to late stretch but settled for second at this distance. He’s consistent, fits the conditions well and is worth a win and place bet at 6-1 on the morning line. Also play a 3-8-9 exacta box.

#5 SPIN CYCLE (8-1)	Good fit at this level and distance, sheds 10 pounds, seeks 15th victory.
#1 ROCKET BLAST (5-2)	Second to the favorite in 1:10.50 makes him one to beat for new barn.

ODDS ON - A horse coming back this quickly after a solid effort is a good signal. When this rider and handler join forces you have to take a look. Jimenez and Arriagada have been wonderful together. Ranked numero uno in earnings per race. Another confirmation that this equine has the class to win. CAMPTOWN RACES - This gelding is at the same 7 furlongs distance he won at on December 9th, which was at a higher class level than today's race.

Vulnerable Contenders: #2 ALMASHRIQ (ML=2/1), #7 THAT'S MY BOI TOY (ML=5/1), #3 GOLOVKIN (ML=6/1),

ALMASHRIQ - Hasn't been on the Tampa Bay Downs oval in the last few weeks. Cause for some concern. THAT'S MY BOI TOY - Looked like he was in good form on March 25th. Hasn't been near the track since then though. Not a positive sign. GOLOVKIN - Tough to play any mount in a short distance race at 6/1 when he hasn't shown any on the board results in sprints in the last couple months.

I've got to go with CLASSY MISS. Earnings per start at the distance/surface is a good handicapping key. This horse ranks at the top in this group. With a sound 63 average speed figure at the distance, seems well suited for today's competition. Shows signs of the look of a profitable play, averaging a solid 58 speed fig which is one of the most competitive in this group. SEAMIALAUGH - She has been racing admirably recently while recording solid speed figures. Should definitely be given consideration in this contest if only for the very strong Equibase Speed Figure garnered in the last affair. SWEET LILLY FACTUM - Trainers don't bring racers back this quickly without any reason.

MOUNT RUNDLE - This gelding has higher odds on the morning line than the other entrant from the stable of Nihei. Better watch out for this angle. Ran on the wrong surface in his last race. The speed rating of 100 on October 26th at Keeneland two races back is good enough to win this race. Average class rating is tops in this group. I think that is a big edge for a race on the turf. Personally, I wouldn't worry about where he finished in his last race (fourth). Should improve right here, with some pretty good odds. ALWAYS ABOVE - If you review the PP's for this racer, you'll see he has recorded the top speed rating at the distance and surface. A repeat performance in this race and this horse has a superb chance to win. A solid handicapping angle is first-time Lasix. Nihei gives it to this one for this event. MASTER OF THE RING - Average Equibase class figure is tops in this bunch. I think that is a big advantage for a grass race. Should do well right here. Weight shift of -6 from Mar 10th race at Turfway Park. C FALLS - This jock/trainer duo has been producing a very positive ROI, right at +298. A repeat of that most recent race on March 2nd where he recorded a speed rating of 97 looks high enough to prove victorious in this contest.

1st race – (6) Baraye put in a fast gate work for this and looks like another first-time winner for Ward. (11) Late Night Mistress is another firster from Ward who cannot be ignored. (10) Too Fast For You has displayed some zip breaking from the starting gate. (9) Youalmosthadme has also been working smartly. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 6-9-10-11.
4th race – (7) Up and Down rallied belatedly in her debut last year and should turn in a better effort with Lasix. (8) Make the Boys Wink may be a main threat in the final furlong.
