“What You Need to Know” - Santa Anita
by Jeff Siegel, 1stbet.com Handicapper & Analyst

Specifically designed for the rolling exotic player, Jeff Siegel’s Daily Santa Anita Handicapping Analysis, Wagering Strategies, and Workout Commentary identify those horses that should be included in daily doubles, pick-3s, pick-4s, pick-5s, and the pick-6.

    Grade Descriptions:
    Grade A=Highest degree of confidence
    Grade B=Solid Play.
    Grade C=Least preferred or pass
Grade X=probable winner but likely at odds too short to play

    __________________________________________________ ____________________________
    RACE 1: Post: 1:00 PT Grade: C+
Main ticket: (in order of preference): 6-See Through It; 5-Natural Power
    Backups/savers: none.

Forecast: The two main players in this six furlong turf sprint over the flat course are drawn outside and exit the same race, the starter allowance grass dash last month won by Maven. See Though It ran well to be beaten a head in a solid performance in that event and a similar effort today puts him right there once again and earns him top billing. Natural Power responded willingly through the lane to wind up third and should fire again; his main issue is a lack of tactical speed that often gives him too much to do. In a race that doesn’t offer any real wagering value, both can be included in rolling exotic play.

    *

    RACE 2: Post: 1:29 PT Grade: B
Main ticket: (in order of preference): 1 Arham; 4-Piroli
    Backups/savers: none.

Forecast: Arham had a sprint tightener at Turf Paradise last month in his first start since December of 2021, and after finishing a steady third in a fast heat the son of Union Rags should be much sharper and fitter today. A perfect one-for-one over the Santa Anita main track, the Vladimir Cerin-trained six-year-old lands the rail and likely will employ gate-to-wire tactics, though recent winner It’s My House should keep him company and may soften him up. The barn’s “go-to” rider Kent Desormeaux picks the mount, so we’ll give him a slight edge on top. Piroli isn’t quite as fast on speed figures as our top pick, but his numbers continue to rise and may do so again as the son of Battle of Midway seeks his fourth straight score. Likely to enjoy a second flight, stalking trip, the Michael McCarthy-trained gelding will be the beneficiary if a quick and contested pace materializes. These are the two we’ll be using in our rolling exotics, with Arham preferred on top.

    *

    RACE 3: Post: 1:58 PT Grade: C+
Main ticket (in order of preference): 3-Beaudacious; 1-Franklin One Star
    Backups/savers: none.

Forecast: This restricted (nw-2) $32,000 claiming sprint on grass drew just six starters and came up soft. Beaudacious, winless in more than two years, gets top billing by default. With speed figures that can win and in a race without much early pace, the son of Karakontie should find himself in a cozy stalking position and then have every chance to prove his superiority under pressure late. We like the switch to hot-riding Hector Berrios (excellent on grass), so at 5/2 on the morning line he looks like the best of the lot. Franklin One Star is a “must use” in a race that may allow him to be the controlling front runner. Despite showing only one meager third place finish in five starts over the local lawn, the Doug O’Neill-trained gelding could shake loose early and get brave after stumbling at the start and losing his best chance when fourth in the same race our top pick just finished third in (they wound up a neck apart). We’ll try to get by using just these two in our rolling exotics.

    *

    RACE 4: Post: 2:36 PT Grade: C+
Main ticket (in order of preference): 2-Tennessee Moon; 1-California Bling
    Backups/Savers: none.

Forecast: Tennessee Moon missed at 4/5 in a similar bottom-rung maiden claimer in late March when failing to come even remotely close the speed figures she had earned in her previous two starts facing tougher foes. Hard to say if she is capable of repeating her best efforts but if she does she’ll make amends, though at 2-1 on the morning line she’s hardly one to trust. California Bling is a six race maiden with two third place finishes, hardly an inspiring resume, but her numbers make her a major player and her pedigree suggests that she can improve in her first try over conventional dirt. This also will be her first start at the bottom rung ($20,000) maiden claiming level, so if she can run at all, this would be a nice spot to show it.

    *

    RACE 5: Post: 3:03 PT Grade: B
Main ticket (in order of preference): 5-Giovinazzo; 1-Hula Candy
    Backups/savers: none.

Forecast: Giovinazzo has rapidly rising speed figures and looks ready to graduate in his fifth career start in this six furlong turf sprint over the flat course for older straight maidens. This field appears to be no better than average, so he’ll have every chance to graduate unless one or more of the newcomers perform better than anticipated. Hula Candy looks the best of the first timers, as evidenced by his :58 3/5 five furlong team drill last month while besting the older Sir Atticus, who last week finished fourth in a decent debut on dirt in a hot race. From a stable that rarely wins first out of the box, the son of Twirling Candy nonetheless must be taken seriously in a field that lacks depth. Both should be included in your rolling exotics.

    *

    RACE 6: Post: 3:35 PT Grade: B-
Main ticket (in order of preference): 1-Book Smart; 4-Goldenspa
    Backups/savers: none.

Forecast: Book Smart returns to the claiming ranks and switches back to the dirt seeking his winning level and may have found it in this restricted (nw-2) $32,000 abbreviated sprint. The Mark Glatt-trained gelding has plenty of early zip, and if he leaves cleanly from the rail the son of Stanford may shake loose and never look back. Goldenspa is another class dropper that should be highly competitive at this level. Most effective from off the pace, the son of Goldencents has numbers that fit but will need some help up front. If things break his way, the Doug O’Neill-trained colt could tag the speed close home.

    *

    RACE 7: Post: 4:07 PT Grade: B
Main ticket (in order of preference): 6-Irish Royalty; 1-Devil Among Us
    Backups/savers: none.

Forecast: Irish Royalty makes his first career start on grass but if he can transfer his Northern California synthetic track form to this surface (and offspring of Grazen usually do) he can pull off a mild surprise in this allowance optional claiming flat course dash for California-bred 3-year-olds. A three time winner at Golden Gate Fields, he has speed figures that fit and a good stalking style that should ensure a trouble-free journey. He earned a career top mark in a sharp starter’s allowance score two weeks ago and if he doesn’t regress due to the quick turnaround the Reid France-trained colt can fit very well on this circuit. Devil Among Us has enough early speed to use his rail post to good advantage and may even be in front if he leaves sharply. The Phil D’Amato-trained colt exits a much tougher heat when winding up a distant third behind Kangaroo Court; his solid runner-up try two races back charts very well with these.

    *

    RACE 8: Post: 4:39 PT Grade: X
Main ticket (in order of preference): 1-Dr. Schivel; 4-C Z Rocket
    Backups/savers: none

Forecast: This open allowance sprint for older horses looks very much like a graded stakes, with both Dr. Schivel and C Z Rocket holding a decided class edge over the others in the five runner affair. However, each has a question mark surrounding his current condition.. The former was last seen finishing unplaced in the 2022 Dubai Golden Shaheen and has a right to be rusty off the long layoff, though he has looked good in his comeback works and should be fit enough. ‘Rocket seems to have lost a bit of his early speed at age nine but still always gives everything he has. A bullet half mile drill (:47 3/5) at San Luis Rey Downs in late April is a good indicator that he has returned from the Middle East in good health. Both should be used in rolling exotic play in a race that we’ll other pass.

    *

    RACE 9: Post: 5:11 PT Grade: B+
Main ticket (in order of preference): 4-Offlee Naughty
    Backups/savers: none.

Forecast: Offlee Naughty is vastly improved judging by his last two races (both easy wins) and looks well-spotted to extend his streak to three in this year’s renewal of the San Luis Rey Stakes-G3 for older turf marathoners. The Michael McCarthy-trained five-year-old rallied into the teeth of slow fractions to win the Charles Whittingham Stakes-G2 with authority over the local lawn at 10 furlongs last month against a similar field and today’s extra quarter of a mile shouldn’t hurt in the least. Listed as the 8/5 morning line favorite after winning at 11-1 last time out, the son of Flashback won’t offer anywhere near that kind of wagering value today but seems like a logical rolling exotic single in the Saturday nightcap.

Al Cimaglia: Meadowlands Early Pick 4 Analysis

      May 13, 2023 | By Al Cimaglia
The Meadowlands has a 14-race card scheduled and the headliners are 3-year-olds battling in New Jersey Sires Stakes action. The 0.50 Early Pick 4 starts in Race 6. The sequence has a $50,000 guaranteed pool with a 15% takeout, and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

      Race 6

2-Ucandoit Blue Chip (7/5)-Rallied down the stretch and nipped #4 who was cutting the mile. Came 3-wide after pulling and closed in a hurry. Made supporters sweat at 4/5 but that was the 1st race of the season and could be even better here.
4-Anna's Wish (5/2)-Cut the mile and lost by a head in the 1st start for team Bongiorno. Lazurus filly showed some heart because she was bumpy around the last turn. It looked like she wouldn't come close to a picture. Raced well and might be better in the 2nd start for the new connections.

      Race 7

2-Blue Ocean (10-1)-Zeron sticks with Alagna and will steer #4 so that means Dunn gets the assignment. Should fit well versus this crew and the price is right to take a swing. Fusco trainee is often in the hunt at the wire and should be stalking the leaders down the lane.
5-I'm Some Graduate (5-1)-Lands in a good spot tonight after facing better at Harrington. Has won 4 of 15 here and Callahan should have this veteran forwardly placed.
7-Marcus Seelster (3-1)-Fading #1 Mad Max Hanover (9/5) the program chalk and will hope he isn't quite ready for a winning debut. Todd McCarthy sticks here over #5 and Marcus has been in sharp form. Looks like a main player, has the gate speed to get a good seat but doesn't have to be on the engine to win.

      Race 8

2-Voukefalas (4/5)-This is a fine NJ bred and the colt wired this kind last week in a sizzling 150.3 with a .26 last quarter. That mile was only 3/5's of a second off his lifetime best and a new mark could come this evening.

      Race 9

2-Celebrity Bambino (2-1)-Has hit the board in 7 of 9 races at M1 with 3 pictures and tuned up with 2 nice qualifiers at the end of April. Makes its 3-year-old debut and can grind it out and come off cover or race on the point. Could win if ready for a big try and the post edge over the one below may come into play.
7-Oh Well (9/5)-The Melander pupil also makes its seasonal debut and did top the one above in a qualifier on 4-29. Not sure what the game plan will be for Tim Tetrick. Might leave if dialed on high and look to get the point but could win coming off a helmet as well.

Gulfstream Mandatory Rainbow 6 Picks | Saturday, May 13, 2023

        May 12, 2023 | By 1/ST BET
Saturday’s Gulfstream Park card includes not only two ‘Win & You’re In’ juvenile turf sprints toward Royal Ascot, but also a mandatory payout in the 20-cent Rainbow 6 pool. Track officials estimate a $1.5 million total pool on the sequence, which begins in Race 5.

Horseplayers using the 1/ST BET and Xpressbet platforms can enjoy up to a $10 money-back special on the Royal Palm Juvenile and Royal Palm Juvenile Fillies if your win bet finishes second or third.
To assist your handicapping, we’ve tabbed Gulfstream Park analyst Brian Nadeau, Hipica TV’s Alfredo Alonzo and the 1/ST BET artificial intelligence for complete Rainbow 6 coverage.

        Gulfstream Park | Race 5
        Brian: 7-10-2-8
        Alfredo: 10-7-2-1
        1/ST BET: 10-7-2-1

Notes: Solid agreement between #7 Tone Feelin (4-1) and #10 Rebelde (3-1) in this claiming dirt mile.

        Gulfstream Park | Race 6
        Brian: 6-9-4-8
        Alfredo: 9-6-8-4
        1/ST BET: 4-6-2-5

Notes: A three-deep consolidation between #4 Reaper (7-2), #6 Blast Furnace (3-1) and #9 Hold the Line (5-2) in the Royal Palm Juvenile Turf.

        Gulfstream Park | Race 7
        Brian: 4-2-7-3
        Alfredo: 2-1-7-3
        1/ST BET: 2-7-4-5

Notes: Top contenders may be narrowed closest to #2 Mr. Peeks (7-5) and #4 Omni King (10-1), giving a favorite and longshot approach in a maiden dirt sprint.

        Gulfstream Park | Race 8
        Brian: 8-4-9-5
        Alfredo: 8-5-6-9
        1/ST BET: 6-4-3-9

Notes: Arguably the handicappers offer a spread situation in this race between #8 Juno Sea (9-2), #4 Ginger Sparkle (7-2), #6 She’s Outta Here (8-1), #5 Countless Dreams (12-1) and #9 Bella Romance (4-1).

        Gulfstream Park | Race 9
        Brian: 9-6-1-3
        Alfredo: 6-9-5-1
        1/ST BET: 9-11-10-3

Notes: Royal Palm Juvenile Fillies top contenders are narrowed solidly to #9 Crimson Advocate (7-2) and #6 Ocean Mermaid (2-1).

        Gulfstream Park | Race 10
        Brian: 2-1-7-6
        Alfredo: 8-11-1-7
        1/ST BET: 1-6-8-11

Notes: The handicappers are all over the place with #1 Neogem (4-1), #2 Newton’s Star (8-1), #8 Factor That (10-1), #6 Exclusive Joni (9-2), #7 Starship Dynasty (5-1) and #11 Lendhercredit (7-2) all in play.

          #5
          Brian W. Spencer's Daily Picks

          Churchill Downs - Race #10
#5 No Nay Hudson Not sure he's the best horse in here, but I think he might wind up right on the splits early in a race without any fully committed pace types signed on. Tighter pace second back?
#2 Gaslight Dancer His three turf sprints have all been very good, so there isn't a whole lot of argument from me for anyone landing here with high confidence. No surprise to see him handle some of these right back.
#1 Gilcrease He posted a pretty easy upset win in his career debut on the grass at Saratoga last season, and I like this semi-aggressive to bring him into stakes company while getting back on the lawn. Wouldn't be a shock for me.
Race Summary Tough race with a handful of logical options, including #7 Privated Creed and #6 Crispy Cat, but I think the price might be playable enough on No Nay Hudson to give him a look in the second run off the bench as he hopefully prompts the issue from the start.
          Churchill Downs - Race #7
#12 Foreign Relations His two turf tries have both been really sharp, and he seems likely to find a good spot spying the speed even while cutting back. Think he's proven himself to be pretty legit, and another big try wouldn't surprise.
#2 F Five He owns some decent pace and took to the grass nicely in that last one, but he's probably going to have a little longshot pace company from #5 Read On. He might get brave if he puts that guy away early enough.
#9 Jarreau Positional pace should be right there throughout, but he does tend to settle for slices, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him find one or two of these a bit too tough today.
Race Summary Foreign Relations has only been on turf twice, but something like either one of those tries would probably be good enough to land this. Excited to see what else he has to offer.
          Churchill Downs - Race #9
#4 Somebody's Problem Think she has a big claim on this one while going second off the layoff, as she has never tried winners outside of stakes company and doesn't look overmatched in a good spot against older horses.
#10 Mouffy Nothing wrong with the form through three starts, and I think she's in line for a great spying trip. Wouldn't be surprised to see her get bet a bit here, but she can be tough if she's ready to roll off the layoff. Look out if she's any better as a 4-year-old
#5 Your So Sillea She didn't miss by much when getting back on the dirt after a decent string of tries at Turfway, but I would want something better than the 4/1 ML offering to sign on in a competitive, fun field.
Race Summary Somebody's Problem was solid off the bench last out, and she might get first jump on some of these while hopefully bringing some upside in the second start back.

            #6
            Frank Carulli's Daily Picks

            Pimlico - Race #1
#1 DESPITE ODDS (7-2) Good value play, better than 6F try two back at this level appears.
#3 AMEDEUS MUSIC (9-5) Romped for $16k, then ran second to six-figure earner for $35k.
#6 GILLIGAN (7-2) Rallied for second at 6F, set the pace and held second at 7F.
Race Summary DESPITE ODDS bid 3-wide into the stretch but couldn’t keep up with the favorites at one mile. He won at this distance three starts ago, then rallied steadily for third after he was bumped on both sides at the start two back. Bet to win and place and play a 1-3 exacta box.
            Pimlico - Race #5
#2 BLETCHLEY GIRL (6-1) Had excuse in latest, seeks duplicate of maiden win, breezed :36.4 bullet.
#3 SWEET BEAUTY (5-2) Farrior claim was dismissed at 7-2 or less in seven of last eight starts.
#1 GOLDEN ANGEL (12-1) Sped clear and drew away from the pursuing 2-to-5 favorite in her debut.
Race Summary BLETCHLEY GIRL couldn’t recover from a slow start, but she broke her maiden at this level in the race prior. She stalked the odds-on favorite in the 4-path, floated 7-wide in the stretch and edged away in a longer sprint. She cuts back to a short sprint off a bullet workout Tuesday. Bet to win and place.
            Pimlico - Race #7
#7 ROOKIE SALSA (9-2) Arrives from Florida in good form, could return quick claim dividend.
#4 CHARGE TO VICTORY (2-1) Slow start in latest, led at stretch call in 5 of prior 8 starts against better.
#6 LONG TERM THINKING (3-1) Finished second eight times in 21 starts at this distance.
Race Summary ROOKIE SALSA, first or second in his last six starts at Tampa’s $5,000 level, steps up off another claim. He has tactical speed, draws a favorable post and gets in light-weighted. Bet to win and place and play a 7/4,6/ALL trifecta.

NO CONFESSION won three in a row and none of them were all that close. COFFEEWITHCHRIS usually makes a power mid move in his races.

                  #9
Keeneland Select Pick of the Day | May 13, 2023

                  May. 12, 2023

Race 10 at Churchill Downs | Saturday May 13 | Post Time 5:26 PM Eastern
William Walker Stakes | Purse $225,000 | Five and One Half Furlongs on Turf | Three Year Olds
                  Main contenders:
The Palisades Stakes was run four weeks ago at Keeneland and it was nearly identical to this race as it was five and one-half furlongs on grass and restricted to three year olds. Six of the eight entered in this race ran in that race, won by Gaslight Dancer (2) at 6 to 1, with Two of a Kind (3) second at 50 to 1. I think those two deserve top honors here but also believe Two of a Kind deserves preference and can turn the tables on Gaslight Dancer. This is because Two of a Kind was making his first start on turf following five on dirt. Not only can he improve off the experience of a race on grass, he ran extraordinarily well when rallying seven paths wide and making up ground to be only a length and one-half from Gaslight Dancer when the wire came. Two of a Kind was third in three stakes before that, all this year, and won the Tremont Stakes last year on dirt in only the second start of his career after winning his debut last May. He’s bred to adore the turf and opening at 6 to 1 offers much more value for all win bets as compared to Gaslight Dancer, who opens at 2 to 1.
Gaslight Dancer (2) has won two turf sprints from three he’s run in and he was beaten a neck for the win in another. He was coming back from five months off when winning the Palisades Stakes last month and Gaffalione rides back so there are no knocks except low odds.
Ah Jeez (8) has upset potential and I’m not really sure why he opens at 15 to 1 but plan to take advantage of those high odds hold up. He started his career on turf last year and won in his second career start in California at five furlongs, then after three stakes tries, two around two turns (too far for him), he cut back in distance and won nicely last November. Once again he stretched out to a mile and ran badly in stakes, but those are mostly irrelevant as his turf sprints are mostly all we should care about. He then went to Dubai and won a seven furlong sprint on dirt before (AGAIN) he was mistakenly stretched out to two-turns, and finished last of 13 in the U.A.E. Derby. Now he’s back on grass and sprinting and has big shot to run better than his high odds suggest based on those similar turf sprint efforts last November and August.
                  Bets:
Win Bets: Two of a Kind (2) to win at 5 to 2 or more. I would absolutely also bet Ah Jeez (8) to win at 4 to 1 or higher odds. Exactas: Box Two of a Kind (3), Gaslight Dancer (2) and Ah Jeez (8)

                    #10
Belmont Park Hotlist - May 13

                    May. 12, 2023

By Matt Shifman and Bob Ehalt
                    Hot List Key:
                    A:
A preferred horse to watch B: Secondary horse to watch
*C: Went down 2 or more betting notches and finished 1st through 3rd
*D: Went down 2 or more betting notches and finished 4th or worst
                    * - 4 or more betting notches if 11-1 or more.
5th race [Man O’War (G1), 1 3/8 mi TURF] – (2) Warren Point will make his American debut for Charlie Appleby who has been very hard to beat with his horses that have shipped over from Great Britain. Warren Point was last seen finishing second in a $2.5 million Group 1 in Qatar. He had a workout at Belmont Park already and Frankie Dettori will ride. (4) Verstappen won the Elkhorn (G2) three weeks ago for trainer Brendan Walsh. He is projected to be on the lead in a paceless race. (1) Red Knight continues to run well despite being a 9-year-old now with a second in that Elkhorn and a win in the McKnight (G3) at Gulfstream Park in January. (5) Howe Street has flashed plenty of talent in his two wins. Blinkers come off the lightly raced 4-year-old.
6th race [Peter Pan (G3), 1 1/8 mi] – (5) Classic Catch will try and get trainer Todd Pletcher his fifth victory in the Peter Pan which serves as the final local prep for the Belmont Stakes. The blinkers go on after he broke slowly in the Wood Memorial (G2) and was forced to run wide the entire race yet still gained ground and improved his position significantly. (9) Bishops Bay gives Brad Cox yet another talented 3-year-old. This guy did not make his first start until February at Fair Grounds when he won as the odds-on favorite and then he returned a month later to win an allowance going two-turns at the New Orleans track. With his undefeated status and with Cox as the trainer he will attract plenty of action at the betting windows as he steps up to graded stakes competition. (2) Slip Mahoney is also entered in the Long Branch Stakes at Monmouth Park on Saturday. In his two Kentucky Derby trail races he had troubled trips while running second in the Gotham (G3) and sixth in the Wood. (4) Summer Cause broke his maiden in February at Gulfstream Park followed by a third in the Federico Tesio for Christophe Clement.
7th race [NY, Md 40000, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (2) Barry the Builder will make his 2023 debut after last seen running fourth in a maiden special weight. His three best races were on the turf. (4) Your Mission will make his first start since moving to the Jorge Abreu barn. Last year, he ran well at this maiden claiming level. (8) Silent Running has been off since January and had one of his best races at this level on the grass. (7) Tunnel Vision was claimed for $40,000 by Mike Maker and now tries turf for the first time.
8th race [NY, Alw 80000 N1X, 6F TURF] – (7) Twenty Six Black (A) was blocked in the stretch and rallied strongly once clear to win in his second start after a Saratoga debut. (6) Heymackit’sjack ran against open company three times since his maiden beaker in September and now he’s back with NY-breds. (5) Sandrone set the pace and finished third at this level in his first start of the year. (3) Power Attack ran in three open company stakes to end his 2-year-old campaign. He broke his maiden against state-breds.
Best bets: Warren Point (5th); Twenty Six Black (8th). Best value: Classic Catch (6th); Barry the Builder (7th).

                            # 2 F FIVE 10/1
I like FOREIGN RELATIONS here. Ought to be carefully examined for this event if only for the quite good Equibase Speed Fig posted in the last race. BOLD LOOKER - Recent figures for the jockey - 25 win percent - make this gelding stand out in this group. Gamblers ought to feel comfortable with this choice given Navas's recent gains at the window. F FIVE - The Equibase Speed Figure of 99 from his last race looks quite good in here. Earnings per start at the distance/surface is a strong handicapping angle. This entrant ranks at the top in this field of horses.

Cross Country Pick Four - Race #4 - Post: 3:50pm - Allowance - 11.0 furlongs on the Turf. Purse: $127,000 Class Rating: 100

                              Rating:

                              #9 JARREAU (ML=4/1)
                              #12 FOREIGN RELATIONS (ML=7/2)
                              #6 BOLD LOOKER (ML=20/1)

JARREAU - I expect a lot from this horse. His speed ratings under similar conditions are tops in this field. Have to make this gelding a serious competitor; he comes off a strong race on April 12th. FOREIGN RELATIONS - Murphy seems to have this gelding primed for a big effort. His workout pattern is outstanding. Leparoux should have him moving strong on the turn. This gelding has plenty of ability on the grass. Could be long gone by the time they hit the top of the lane. The 102 latest race speed rating looks mighty good on paper. BOLD LOOKER - Have to make this gelding a serious competitor; he comes off a strong effort on April 19th. Taking this jockey/trainer combination is a good decision.

                              Vulnerable Contenders: #10 BOSQUE REDONDO (ML=6/1), #1 TRENDING (ML=6/1), #8 ALWAYS ABOVE (ML=6/1),

BOSQUE REDONDO - He had to show me more against that weaker field in the last race on March 22nd to get my support today. TRENDING - When looking at today's class rating, he will have to register a much better rating than last race out to battle in this turf route. ALWAYS ABOVE - This entrant hasn't been near the victor at the finish recently.

STRAIGHT WAGERS: #9 JARREAU to win at post-time odds of 7/2 or better
