WINGS OF A SONG - A thoroughbred coming back this rapidly after a sharp race is a good sign. This filly recorded a strong speed figure of 69 in her last affair. That fig should be strong enough to triumph this time out.

VACCINA - 3/1 is not enough of a reward to take on most any racer that has run poorly in back to back races. STRAIGHT MADNESS - Finished seventh last time. Would have to advance to be in the money in today's event. One should normally not wager on a vulnerable equine in the next race after finishing off the board following a extended vacation. When examining today's Equibase class figure, she will have to garner a better speed rating than last out to battle in this dirt route.

KING APOLLO is my choice. Have to suppose this pony will run well again today. Is worth considering and may be a bet - strong Equibase speed figs (100 average) at today's distance and surface lately. Reason to like this gelding as he has in the irons one of the best jocks using winning percentages over the last month. DANCING RINCA - Could best this group based on the Equibase speed fig - 103 - of his last outing. Has posted solid Equibase speed figs in dirt sprint races in the past. DOITFORANDREW (GB) - Has to be given consideration versus this field displaying respectable figs lately and an average speed figure of 100 under similar conditions. This horse has to be wagered on at the expected high odds.

HARD LOVE - In this race here, this thoroughbred has clearly shown signs that he likes the grass. His speed ratings are the highest in the field for this dist-surf. The most dangerous animal in racing is the lone speed horse. If they let him get away early they probably won't catch him. May be extremely hard to beat this magnificent animal on the turf today. Last race out scored a nice turf fig, the highest of any of these animals. Earnings per race is something that I think can be a valuable handicapping aspect. This racer is ranked at the top in this bunch. This gelding recorded a nice rating of 84 in his last clash. That speed rating should be lofty enough to win today. DOC IRWIN - Taking a trip down the ladder based on class; has the ability to make his presence felt. AFLEET ASCENT - Schwandt brings him back again. I suggest you stay with this hot gelding.

MORE ICE - Can't play this morning-line choice off the long layoff. Pedestrian speed rating in the last race at Louisiana Downs at 7 1/2 furlongs. Don't think this horse will improve too much in today's event. SENATOR CON - This group is a whole lot tougher than the ones he met in the last affair. When scrutinizing today's class figure, he will have to notch a better speed fig than last out to compete in this turf route. NATE'S ATTACK - If you keep choosing these sort of 'bridesmaid' types, you're going to be dissatisfied most every time. Finished second in his most recent race with a run-of-the-mill speed fig. When I look at today's Equibase class figure, it would take an improved performance to prove victorious after that in this bunch.
